I made a really bad and awkward joke and she said "you're really funny tonight."

I didn't respond. She just sent another message saying she wants chipotle.

Seriously. Women, what the ****?
If you're not thinking this, they're not doing their job.

This is, maybe, the most important thing I've learned from 17 years of marriage.

So my aunt and uncle apparently were contacted by some "task force" that supposedly arrested someone that had their info on them along with the names and birthdays of family members. They got my dad and grandma right but added a non-existent older sibling and had grandpa's name wrong. Could be true but I doubt it.

This should be fun to help super paranoid people through.

Technically he was an aeronautical engineer for Boeing, it's just more fun to say rocket scientist. :)

He was on loan to NASA from 1966-68, and worked at the Cape; the tower & crawler were his area of responsibility. We lived in Cocoa Beach during that time.
Was that about when I Dream of Jeannie was filmed?

I almost made a joke about how when I eat Chipotle, it's so much food that I feel like I'm pregnant, but I just decided to let it be.

You probably should have stopped digging before that, like maybe not having picked up the shovel with the first preggers comment? Just sayin'.

Yes, but it wasn't filmed there. And trust me, Cocoa Beach did NOT look like they showed it. :)

We moved there from the Seattle area, and returned to Washington in December 1968. Most people were "transplants" from Kansas, Washington & several New England states.

Another show that came out while we were down there was "Here Come The Brides", which was loosely based on the story of Asa Mercer bringing "feminine comfort" to his loggers & fishermen. Only they weren't brides, they were hookers. :) Anyhoo, the folks from the east coast would ask us if that's what Seattle really looks like. Yeah, we had dirt roads and people riding horses from Seattle to Olympia in one day. So many from the east coast thought the left coast was completely undeveloped. :)
