I just can't imagine it. I hate the color of khaki, so almost all of my dress pants are black or charcoal. I've got a nice, navy blue sport coat, but no pants to wear it with. That's why I was curious, but I still can't picture doing it. All it looks like to me is someone that is color blind dressed themselves.

I used to have a favorite pair of lighter weight worsted wool pants in a slate gray that were great for wearing with a blue blazer. A finer texture with no pattern (solid color)and more of a summer weight. They wore out and I have NEVER been able to find anything like them again. Everything in gray is all flannel old banker guy looking and for winter.

How about something like this:

I just can't picture that looking good. I know you match your shoes to your pants (so black shoes for gray pants) but it would still be out of place to me with a navy jacket (traditionally, navy would be worn with a darker brown shoe).

I was talking to Boxster, not you, on his 'can't find slate grey lightweight wool pants' comment. You find your own damn pants.

Looks fine to me.

Those pants pictured are the gray with the pattern in them that I just hate. And, yes, no black shoes with navy blazer, that's what burgundy/cordova shoes and belt are for. :)

This thread is going to cost me money since I sorta need a new blazer but it hasn't been a priority. My ancient old Pierre Cardin is starting to show it's age. Hell, I don't even know how long it's been since Cardin was even a label for sports coats. Good thing the blazer style never really changes and that this old dude still wears the same size.

they made good progress today. Now to hope the rain doesn't muck it all up. And that our cars go unscathed.

Moderate risk area over Illinois and Indiana fooled all the storm chasers today. Storm of the day with a nice visible tornado was near Hutchinson, Kansas.

1. The fact that you called him Fiddy Cent tells me how not gangsta you are.

2. Are you sure that not just a sale they're having for 50 cents?

3. Dude's got to find some way to pay back that 6 million dollars he lost in the sex tape verdict.
