Random Thoughts IV

I'm too analytical for the casinos. First time I was in one, I looked around and thought it was pretty nice in there. Next thought was "they don't build places this nice if they're giving money away" and although I've tried, I can't get into gambling in one. When Mrs. 00clone and I were taking a side trip to Prescott, AZ, our hotel had a casino, and we walked down just on principle since the kids weren't with us...made one loop thru and looked at all the sad sacks sitting in there with glazed eyeballs and a smoke sitting next to them, and we both wanted out. Went back to the room, though, so jackpots were had.

when we went to Vegas, we spent $2 gambling. Just to say we did.

Ohhhh. Both of these sound good. I've only attempted meatloaf, I believe, twice in our marriage. That's more of a fall dinner. Although, the weather is quite fall-like.

And not baked potatoes...mashed.

I just wing meatloaf based on how my mom made it. I prefer mashed potatoes too, but baked are so easy when you are already using the oven anyway.

well now I want lasagna!

are my mom and I the only people who puts cream cheese in lasagna? Delish.

I have used it when I didn't have enough ricotta before, and really, can it be bad in anything? I tend to innovate because if I ever try some recipe with a bunch of stuff, someone invariably eats half of the ingredients before I get it cooked anyway.

we've always used cottage cheese instead of ricotta. And use the cream cheese too. I feel like the cottage cheese has more moisture. I use Italian sausage instead of hamburger too.

and no, cream cheese is never bad in anything.

^Yep CG, Italian sausage is the way to go. Unless some teenage boy cooks it to put on a pizza. I put eggs in the ricotta so it isn't dry. Cottage cheese is an item the weight-lifting boys will wipe out if it is in the fridge, and eggs, and just about anything that is low calorie protein.

verdict is that it's good, but I'm going to skip the onion and probably dijon next time, and turn it into meatballs like my mom makes so there's more delicious topping everywhere. And on the mashed potatoes.

All this lasagna talk makes me really want to make one, but the reality of having to eat it every night for a week makes me shy away. Single people problems.

Man, pants...this has to be rough...first she tells the 4th date thing, but then leaves this mile-wide opening. Your emotions must be raw.

She likes to toy with me like a cat playing with a mouse. She's lucky she so damned cute. There's worse things to cling to than hope, though, right? Right?!

Sigh.......
