Speaking of saving the planet, I watched a show about Thorium based nuclear power last night after work (yeah, I'm a dork).

Essentially, Thorium was being developed in the '60's as an alternative to Plutonium/Uranium reactors. It's a totally different style. Doesn't melt down, much less toxic, can't be weaponized. But, that last one was part of the reason it was killed off...it doesn't create weapons grade nuclear fuel as a byproduct. In the cold war, creating more nukes was more important than a safer/cleaner power source.

That's the way it always is even today. The Keystone Pipeline is another example, where despite the evidence that these things are awful for the environment around them (there was yet another oil spill just last week that hasn't gotten mch coverage) all pocketbooks care about is trying to squeeze every Penny out of a non-renewable source instead of looking forward and pursuing other renewable energy options.

Well, there's always the free hookers:

Well, technically, I don't either, but I've kind of developed a passing interest based on the posts of a guy on Jalopnik. A lot of his posts are about 'cheap' high end cars, like:

Plus, I could geek out on car searching for hours, so there's that.

I am almost out of garage space. Could fit in one more German car but it will have to be a BMW Isetta.

And you put that pic in for everyone else, right? I mean, my car aficionado ego feels it necessary to point out that I would have known what an Isetta is without the pic.

I was about to describe my head/body hair sitch, then decided....you know, that's not a discussion you need to help continue on.

OK, but I can't stop, so I'll just say that when a podiatrist comments that your feet are hairy, they're pretty ****in' hairy. I mean, dude look at feet all day err day, and yet mine are notable.

Pictures or it ain't so!

Tempted to post an old hairly legged skinny Boxster running the Bix 7. It's like 30 years ago so won't gross out wxman (I know how much he hates seeing the old guys at the club/gym).

Over 1100 cal burned per HIM jogging, walking pulling 60+lbs of kids in the wagon, and mowing the lawn. Leg day is done. Now what should I eat, I'm hungry!

I always said mowing the lawn was good cardio. In the 58min it took me to mow, my HR was in the target zone 57min. Makes a difference that I am short and it was a lot of manual pushing around trees. Had to go slow to mow the jungle that our yard is after so much rain.

We are trying to decide if we should go down to my wife's cousins grad party in Pella on Saturday. None of her family is going but all of the aunt's, uncle's and other cousin's will go. This feels like a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

I know this is risky asking since it's Pella, but will there be free booze?
