Dude, you saw the comments...match is for people looking for something serious...you need tinder.

A younger dude was showing me and another gal my age the Tinder app a year ago. He was actually even a little too old for it in my opinion so when he went to the bathroom and left his phone unattended we go busy swiping on his behalf. We worked fast and furious and I doubt he liked our choices.

How people leave their phone unattended, I'll never know.

My neighbors entire yard is Creeping Charlie. And he doesn't think it's a problem. I'm thinking about just spraying his yard with Roundup at 3am some day.

I can't see my neighbors lawn. It is under 6 inches of oak leaves. I trespassed a little and raked them off all of the hostas before they were smothered. Not sure what his problem is. He usually hires some lawn minions to rake in the fall and spring and mow but since the end of summer he has done absolutely nothing. Kinda odd.

Maybe having financial problems and can't afford his yard service?

When we were younger, we were always the last in the neighborhood to mow. Now we mow and start a chain reaction. It's kind of like, if those geezers can get the yard mowed, it's embarrassing not to get it done.

Kinda doubt that is an issue since I saw his maid service there today and I still see his personal assistant there most days. Kept seeing this gal all for the time and finally introduced myself out in the yard one day. No idea what a personal assistant does since she is there when he is not (he's at this biz and she is at his house during the day).

Oh, and he has gargoyles and what looks like a dragon skull in his front yard landscape. Unusual fellow. Pleasant enough on the rare occasions I have spoken with him but a little standoffish. Young guy, always dressed in all black. He has a black pickup and a black car also. Other than his no longer girlfriend and parents I have never seen anyone other than the assistant gal there visiting in the last maybe four years or so. Like no one.

And it is a LOT of leaves. Guy have maybe 8 full grown oak trees on his lot. He hasn't even cleaned them off the driveway. Just drives over them. BTW, it's like an 800k house with a detached three car two-story garage with a studio over it.

/end of rambling

The match.com thread has almost convinced me to resurrect the match profile I started and never activated. Maybe.

Honestly, if I ever got to the point where I wanted a serious relationship, is probably try online dating. I've got no problem getting hookups and casual stuff, but at this age, I'm somewhat clueless as to where one goes for a serious girl.

Most often, wherever one does not find casual girls eager for hookups. :)

You're probably going to sneer at me after my comments on the match thread, but I truly believe that relationships started on superficial things like appearance or "ease of access", while not necessarily doomed to failure, are certainly starting at a disadvantage. Looks change/fade, sex may not always be awesome or eager. Long-term serious relationships need a strong foundation.

You might of had my son for a neighbor for three months but looks like you made it out of Wichita and closer to family?

Yeah.

If he wants to buy a great house In a great neighborhood with the HOA pool across the street I can hook him up!

Good grief.

You wouldn't think I'd have to ponder wearing my hoodie to the Tailgate today. Brrrr.

Problem is, everything I know is based on picking up chicks for casual things! I mean, I've picked up a girl with a baby pineapple, KC. I think anything else would require a complete overhaul, and quite frankly, that just sounds exhausting.

Tru dat. But there are women out there who are worth it! :)

Neighbors--all our nice neighbors keep moving. We have a family next door that has 3 girls, 2 are the same as our youngest two so they play together a lot. We are the "do you have an egg/cup of sugar/sour cream/whatever random item I need but don't have I can borrow" type of neighbor. They are building and will be moving in a month. :( Who is moving next door? I often share baked goodies.

So the auto doors on our van that were going to cost $800 to fix (or $2k off our trade in if we didn't fix them--gotta love dealer math) were able to be fixed with $15 in parts/shipping and 4hrs of free labor. Although my dad says the door may rattle at times, there is a small socket wrench and extension that may have fallen into the door. Not my problem, will probably get my new swagger wagon tomorrow.

Sorry Mrs. Wxman, I don't think Fred is going on the tailgate tours. :( You could always come over to Gilbert's graduation ceremony to see him, pretty sure he will be there to see his daughter graduate.

Yeah, but Mrs. 00clone, Mrs. Wxman, Angie, and the ladies of RT thread are all married. I'd think that'd dang near account for all the worthwhile ones. Well, I'm sure your granddaughter(s) would be on the list, but we've seen how pants going after that would go.

First paragraph: How much are they asking? Maybe pants, Boxster and I could chip in for a landing pad in Ames that'd always be stocked with baked goodies?

Second: Now sure if the hubby is mechanical minded, but if the old one is the V6, you could always keep it and throw a supercharger on it, make a drift wagon out of it. (full disclosure, I only say this because it's something I've thought of in a super bored moment while changing oil in our van and a quick google indicates that a supercharger is available for the V6 in the Sienna since it's also used in several other Toyotas)

Third: Wxman: If you decide to go the graduation route, just don't PM birdy to see if she wants to meet up, you'll get the 'umm, jeez, sorry....superbusy kthxbye' brushoff right quick.

:rolleyes::pwink:

00--you can use your Internet sleuthing skills (or employ CG) and find my address. There will probably be plenty of birthday cake on Sat if you "happen" to be driving by around 1 or so on Sat.
