True, but while they do get me at times, I've lowered my expectations so that if I don't expect much, I'm not disappointed.
I figure my expectations are pretty low already if all I ask of you is to not make me hate you.
SCIPP? I thought she was at the NWS, always sharing their posts. She was my WiSE mentor at ISU - she was in meteorology. I feel like she was working at one of those other weather places when she was getting her master's at Oklahoma.
Or your trigger on 'things that make me hate people' is too easy to trip. The 'lowered expectations' comment was kind of the snotty way of saying it, the nicer way is that in reality, we're all dysfunctional or stupid about something, it's just some are more messed up or less capable than others. It's the essentially flawed nature of humans. We're small minded and self centered by nature. By coming to terms with that, while it doesn't fix the flaws, it can prevent us from letting it ruin our day. The saying goes...unresolved hatred is like drinking poison and expecting it to make the other person sick.
There was a guy in Panda Express screaming at the little old lady behind the counter because she gave him brown rice instead of fried rice.

Oh, sorry, that was really only intended on shaming Pants...in general, I think people are ****ing dumb too, I just had to put that together to be all positive and nice...which probably also added me to the list of people pants hates right now. It's kind of my game...annoying the **** out of him without making him actually dislike me.

(in really real reality, though, I've been working on that myself, so I thought I'd share...I struggle at times with expecting others to operate at the same level as me, and I should know that they all either can't or don't want to for whatever reason)
Maybe he just lost his job and decided his one last splurge for the foreseeable future was going to be going to panda express...and no, not a real, nice chinese restaurant...f'ing Panda Express, dude...and then he got brown rice and it all came down on him.
Maybe you should show him some grace instead of adding to all the rage going around, dude.
