He loves the snow, so you'd be fine there. He'll run through it then kind of dive into it.

He also loves swimming though, so you'll have to find some lakes or rivers to take him to.

welp, that ain't happening in Minnesota, guess Boxster can't keep the dog!

Interesting, though according to their map it's looks like they'd be more rare here. I plan on getting scuba certified this summer though, so hopefully I'll be taking lots of photos and maybe I'll come across one!

I agree. I had heard "South Pacific" and assumed that meant Hawai'i too, but apparently not.

Have fun!

When you find out a guy you went to high school with (two years younger) has a semi-major role in a Tony-nominated Broadway musical.

Hell, my boss has been trying to pull that for four years now. Not because boss picks up the slack...it's just that if I'm gone for more than a week (and nobody does my job while I'm gone) it takes me a week to catch up, and then we're two weeks behind, and that reflects poorly on boss. I try to take my time off during our slowest seasons, but boss thinks nothing of being gone for up to a month during peak season...leaving me to pick up the slack. Twice in the past four years I've been so unable to use up vacation time that I have "lost" it. When you're maxed, they don't take it away, per se...but they stop crediting your monthly amount until you're back under the limit again. :(

Sooo,,when I first read this sentence...until I read the next one, I thought this was related to Pants and the employee banging topic.

Sorry Boxster, looks like CG is trying to make a play on him now.

OK, it was cool when CG had a 'list', and then it was kinda topical when Birdy had a 'list'...but now the dog has a 'list'?

Even in RT, it's the offseason.

Birdy had a list? Did it start and end with Pantsy?

Pretty cool. I did theater at ISU with a guy who went on have a major role opening a Broadway show with Carol Burnett. It was a pretty cool story. He was originally the understudy and the guy dropped out during rehearsals so my buddy stepped in until they could find a replacement. After a few more rehearsals they realized that they didn't have to replace the ISU grad.

A guy I went to high school with has been directing on Broadway and London's East End for years. Turkey looks almost the same as he did in high school. Wilson Milam is his name.

2 year equivalent max.

huh. I could swear some professors when I helped with payroll had accruals into the several hundred hour range. Guess I don't know how much two years would be though.

Ours is completely use it or lose it. Used to be accrue to 150% but that changed literally the week I started. Boo that.

I can accumulate up to 50 days and keep them indefinitely. If I get to 50 I just won't accumulate any more until I use some. I keep it rather high because it is my out for major illness/surgery or taking a job and need to cover moving expenses nest egg.

I get 18 hrs a month (25+ years). I'm pretty sure I'm at the top end at this point and my accrued amount will not increase again (I started with 8/month). My max is 432 hours (10.8 weeks).

Faculty accrue on an a different basis.
The “A” base faculty members with full-time appointments accrue vacation on a monthly basis, at a rate of 22 days/year. Vacation may be accrued to twice the annual entitlement.
Part-time “A” base faculty members accrue amounts equivalent to their fractional base of appointment.
“B” base faculty members do not accrue vacation time.

Faculty will very quickly be able to carry 400+ hours.
