Struggling mightily with my inner sloth. The laziness has came down upon me today with a great vengeance.

Need to kick sloth to the curb and at least go outside and do a little bit of yard work. It's cool and windy but the sun is out for real.

It's almost 10am here and I haven't dragged myself out of bed yet. It must be contagious.

00 is not a movie guy. I cannot see him sitting through what is likely to be a silent movie screening of Battleship Potemkin. Hey, we are talking U of I here.

My inner sloth typed this to keep me from doing yard work.

It's okay, Boxster.....she's just trying to keep me from possibly interacting IRL with anyone remotely close to her...so she suggests I just stay over here where I belong, and she and pants can just ride off into the sunset...

Okay, now I HAVE to go out and work some. This commercial just came on and mocked me!

And the "..only thing getting trimmed" line was totally unnecessary. :wideeyed:

That's because, despite her COMPLETELY rejecting me this weekend, what we she and I have is real, 00. I like her baking, she knows where I'm from. She's really into volleyball, I like sports. She can do a ton of push-ups, I like to eat push-up ice cream treats. It's really a match made in CF heaven.

So the oldest was at a b-day party with a pinata today, and he musta cleaned up...came home with a buttload of candy...included were Peanut Butter M&M's. Natch, I had to try them after all the love for them last week.

They were decidedly better than Reese's Pieces. They were good, I wouldn't jump fences for them, but then again, I really wouldn't jump fences for many sweets.

But did you try them with popcorn? The hot popcorn makes the peanut butter all melty but it stays confined in it's candy shell so it's not a mess.

I won't lie, I'm proud of CF. I expected the Bruce Jenner thread to be much worse than it was when I opened it. I mean, there's still some stupid in it, but most of it is from Clonedude, so that's really nothing new or unexpected.

Thanks to the "if the blacks would just do what they're told, they wouldn't get shot in the back" guy.

If you want to just go all out peanut butter and chocolate, warm some peanut butter in a bowl in the microwave. Then add in mini M&M's (in my experience, the mini ones work the best). Warm, melty chocolate and pb goodness.

Outstanding work by GTO & Pants last night, very fun article. Fine follow up by the Boxster Garden Report, and damn Birdy those cupcakes look good.

Boxster what is the purple flowering plant? It looks like it is going to be really pretty in a week or so. I'm looking forward to my flowering crab in a few days, doesn't last long but pretty in full bloom.

CG congrats on the hair, good luck on the rest. That stuff always works itself out, have fun at the reception. By the way my tie is pink and silver, hope DH will let me have a dance w/you :)

I used to make homemade "peanut butter cups" with melted chocolate and peanut butter. I put quotes around it because I'd just mix them then let it cool. It looked nothing like a peanut butter cup, but tasted like it. You could probably actually pull it off pretty easy, Birdy, if drunk college Pantsy could even get the taste right.

Speaking of garden report, my wild plums are blooming like a MF'er this week...which made me realize the neighbor also has one, and there are 2 in a fence row along a road near our house as well....so maybe I'll be able to gather enough wild plums for brandy this fall after all.

I have a large peanut butter/chocolate dessert repertoire. Cheesecake, pie, bars, buckeyes, cupcakes (some filled with pb frosting), layer cakes, Scotcheroos. Once we figured out one kid has a peanut allergy my pb/chocolate dessert production went way down.

Birdy, I'm already in love. You don't need to convince me anymore.

Mrs. had to go early to set up for a church thing tonight, so the boys and I are having fun jumping around the living room listening to 80's music on Pandora. (I just) Died in Your Arms just came on and the first thing I thought of was that it came on the radio while I was getting my snip-snip.

My mom can make a chocolate/peanut butter cake. It's so rich, you...well, myself...could pretty much only eat a 2"x2" piece in one sitting. You would also need a decent sized glass of milk to go with it.

Got my hair cut today, so my hair is straight, which I'm happy about. Hey CG, I'll donate some of my natural waviness/curliness to you.

That's tragically beautiful, man.

This song reminds me of when I got to see David Copperfield at the Rialto, and this was the background song for his opening magic trick.
