I always did our taxes during the first marriage. They were pretty straightforward, but my ex was a scientist, not a numbers geek like me. When PapaLew & I got together he lived on the north side of DSM & had a small business down there in addition to his fulltime job, so he had an accountant prepare his taxes, Jim Hudson of Hudson Tax Service in Ankeny. We stayed with them, and I have to admit it was nice not having to do it any more. Jim is retired now and his daughter has taken over for him (with partners, I believe), but I'm pretty sure the company is still called Hudson something. They've been really good for us over the last 20 years, but they are located on the west side of Ankeny, not Ames.
I think IcSYu does taxes.... but I don't remember where he works at.
Pretty sure Clark is a taxman also...but I doubt he's in Ames.

That's pretty much what happens when you have a baby. My fiance is not convinced yet.
Driving the big dump truck by myself this afternoon. If anyone happens to see the St. Lukes helicopter going to the NW side of CR...I will miss you all.
How have we not created a machine to pour that cereal in a bowl for us already? Preferably have it so it can shove the cereal into my food hole too.
I know they haven't lost it, but it just boggles the mind that he couldn't get them done in the time he has had them. It is like we are lowest of the low priority for some reason, even though we pay just as much to have them done. I have a friend who is a corporate CPA in town and this is who they often recommend to individuals. She says there aren't a whole lot of places in town, at least that they would recommend. I honestly have no idea how involved ours our, I know after doing them for years himself it is better for hubby's health to have someone else do them. But at this rate I think he is just as qualified as the "pros".
