I'm lucky to be here today. Went with my mom to the grocery store this weekend, and we we turning left at a fairly large intersection. i was in the passenger seat. No arrow, just green so oncoming traffic was busy. We waited and waited. There whar cars in the opposite left turn lane so it was hard to see oncoming traffic going straight. She starts to go and I yell "Wait! Wait! Wait!" because I saw a car she couldn't. If I had been looking at my phone, even for a second, that might have been it.

More or less, yeah. But I come from a single parent, dirt poor family where it was a matter of daily survival.

I think it just became engrained in me from that? No matter how well I'm doing, it's a constant paranoia for me. Probably doesn't help living in one of the most expensive places in America to live and having a slight heart attack every time I buy milk at 7.99 a gallon.

1.59 for skim the other day at Aldis. Man my milk habit would get broke in a big hurry living over there, Just out of curiosity what does gas and beer cost? Don't worry about expensive milk just think how low your heating bills are.

You would think, but I still end up eating cereal for dinner 5 times a week.

Has is like, 3.94 a gallon right now. Beer isn't AWFULLY expensive. 6 pack of Kona for 7.99, but you can find Bud for probably 5.99.

I read somewhere that printer ink is more expensive per milliter than Dom Perignon is per milliter.

I hate intersections like that. The last one before our apartment is like that - sometimes the turn signal goes first and sometimes it's just the green light. Had a couple close ones where I didn't notice for a second that the arrow didn't come on as well.

I saw the first post of this page and had to do some extra reading, had me fooled for a second

Anyone ever add someone on facebook and regret it immediately after?

Regret some HS acquaintances that I added (they asked) who weren't really that good of friends or friends at all to me in HS. After a class reunion I guess they thought we should all be friends. Had to block a number of them so I don't see their posts because they go off on extreme political and social rants.

Ordinarily having a "Cheers" moment where everyone knows your name can be cool. Today's was not cool.

Walk into the Porsche service center and it's:

John: Hey, hi Boxster!

Boxster: Oh, hey, hi John.

Gave in and turned the air on. It is only 82 in the house but it isn't cooling and I am hoping it helps get some of the allergens out of the air so I can sleep.
