I just heard myself on Wisconsin Public Radio. Knew it was me from the intro and what was I was saying but would have never recognized the voice. I like the "voice" I hear not the "voice" others hear when I speak.

I've been told I'm a pretty decent public speaker and I think most people feel this way about hearing themselves recorded.

I hate listening to myself sing or speak. Sounds so different. I've gotten used to the singing after having to do it enough, but one summer my internship involved doing a lot of narration for video presentations. Oh boy. That was like torture having to listen to all that!

I went to sleep at 9 because my power went out and they said it wouldn't be back on until midnight, so I didn't have anything else to do.

This kind of defeatist attitude is why Mrs. Arob is always asking to come over to my place. In the future, your answer is candles, Barry White station on Pandora, and a cordless bluetooth speaker...see if you can keep each other busy until the lights come back on.

..............did Arob get himself a Mrs. and not mention it?........I feel like the candles and all that is a lot of work to get your right hand in the mood.

Well...then this woman who keeps asking to come over and calling herself Mrs. CyArob has some explaining to do.

:skeptical:

00, do you get to be home all week with the munchkins? I'm excited for Tuesday and Wednesday. Planning lots of playing.

Gotta work Monday and Tuesday, no school/daycare for them. So today is the first time I've had them all to myself in a long time, they're drawing pictures now while I get my dinner ready/clean up lunch. This morning I was so sick of going to the freezer and finding nothing that I checked the ads and stocked up...got 8 whole chickens at 99c a lb, 2 half hams for 1.39 a lb and 2 turkeys at 1.19/lb at Aldi, then another whole ham at Hy-Vee for 1.88/lb. Not going into work so early so Mrs. 00clone can get most of a day in before she comes home and trades off.

And...sounds like the little one is almost ready for a nap...

got everything done yesterday except for the batch of pretzels.

At the party, someone had make crockpot chicken with brown sugar, ketchup, maybe honey, and a couple other things. Delicious.

Heading north on 35, lots of rain. Hoping to drive out of it in MN. Will wave to Pants' parents in about an hour, will send a wave north to Velo and Baxter as we hit Albert Lea and head west.

The strap on my messenger bag just unsnapped and my bag and laptop went tumbling on to the hardwood floor. On one hand, I wouldn't mind getting a new work laptop, as this one is old. On the other hand, I haven't backed it up in about a month, so I'd lose a lot of crap. It's built like a Mack truck though, so it'll probably be fine. If it were my personal one though, it would have probably shattered.

Sounds like my first Xbox. Sat on my side porch through 5 or 6 iowa winters and has taken 15 years of abuse. Pulled it out earlier this year dusted it off and plugged it in. Worked like the day I got it.

I just had my first real lesson on how long things take with kids. I am going to have to learn a new level of patience.

You grow into it. Babies are a great crash course for building......everything. They need XYZ and the need it NOW.

As for leaving on time, as long as we prepare (pack diaper bag night before or an hour before) we've only been late due to ourselves or a poo diaper.
