That and some years back the Timberwolves grabbing and sealing off half the basketball courts as their practice court. Like that has helped them be anything but awful. Those courts were more useful for casual amateur hoops than pro ball.
You'll be happy to know that the T-Wolves are moving/have moved over to Mayo Clinic Square (Block E) so unless they have changed their plan they will no longer be leasing that extra space from LT. They will have their offices and daily practice facility over there. They should then have arena practices only in the arena bowl.

ordered a scintillating gift for DH on Monday. He had a gift card from work that could only be used at certain stores, so Boston Store was one of them and I found his gift there. He made a comment about my "gift" last night and I realized I had never gotten a confirmation/tracking number email. I check this morning, nothing. Try to re-do the order with the same gift card and it got declined - which to me indicated that it must have gone through the first time and no longer had enough money to pay for it again. So I have DH look it up and sure enough, a transaction went through - but I got no type of confirmation from the store. That seems really weird.

You're talking to mostly Iowa people CG

(Hey everybody, that's what they call Younkers up there)

Wait a sec, you ordered a gift for DH using HIS gift card?

yeah, it's a little different from Younkers. I'd say closer to a Macy's. Usually just stuff more expensive than the identical stuff you could get at Kohl's, so we don't go too often, but DH likes this one type of socks that they have.

haha, yes because he told me to. The list of stores he could use it on was pretty limited and Boston Store was really about the only one we'd be likely to use it at before it expired. So I ordered it, but yeah, used his gift card. That's why "gift" was in quotations.

I ordered the mouse he wanted this morning with my own money, so he gets that too. See if I can get him into one of those half-zip sweaters this weekend. That would be a nice gift too.

They're owned by the same company, CG...and same stuff but more expensive than Kohl's? Yeah, that's Younkers.

00, when Erik worked 3rd shift I would sometimes comment on him getting home early. It was more from concern though: are you sick? type thoughts.

I am starting to think someone hates her crib. So, today I'm looking at different sleeping ideas...... I was hoping to avoid that.

Huh. I remember liking the Younkers in Dubuque/Ames more than Boston Store. Feel like the stores were smaller and less cluttered feeling. I get anxiety trying to find **** in Boston Store, I swear.

Sorry I missed your anniversary yesterday, KC. That day had me all off kilter. Hopefully you were feeling well enough that you and PapaLew could at least enjoy it a little bit.
:wubclub:

Thanks, man! We're still arguing over who "made" dinner...

I was still coughing too much to want to sit in a restaurant, so I came up with the idea to get prime rib takeout from Texas Roadhouse. He called the order in, I picked it up from the restaurant after bell choir practice & brought it home, he opened the wine. He says that since he called in the order and opened the bottle of wine, HE "made" dinner. I say since it was my idea, and I was the one that picked it up, paid for it & brought it home, I "made" dinner.

Dinner was good though, whoever "made" it! :)

Well, if you're talking when you were a kid, yeah, that's possible, I think they were bought out in the 90's? But by the time you were in Ames, it would have been transitioning to the parent company model. I didn't completely give up on Younkers until the early 2000's.
