Heh...glad you got them...I was kinda worried that they'd get dumped on your doorstep and stolen. It's been the most worry fraught delivery status updates shipment that I've experienced recently....it said it was out for delivery yesterday, then you were all 'meh', and I thought it mighta got stolen or something....glad it worked out.

They left a note on the door saying they left it in the back behind the house (surrounded by two walls and a fence on 3/4 sides). I even had to dig around looking for it, being I wasn't expecting anything. They hid it well!

00clone, not that it really matters, but did you mean switch denominations, or just physical churches?

Functionally, thinking denominations because of what's available locally, but honestly, either, really, as long as it's christian and truly bible based, and not just a slick marketing gimmick...I have some troubles with some of the 'new christian' churches because they preach a 'sales tactic' faith...that God will make it all better, when that's anti-scriptural, but yet I have some problems with the 'traditional' Catholic church in that it's so heavily rules/tradition based and can tend to lead people to become Pharisees that spend so much time 'washing the outside of the cup' while the inside is horribly tarnished.

I don't think only moving once to go to the bathroom in 11 hours of studying is healthy. None the less I learned developmental psychology in one day so I'm good. Well... Hopefully

It is 4am and I can't sleep even though I don't have an exam tomorrow and I definitely wasn't studying. So I went through some pictures and found some relevant ones. Yes these might be dumb but I have nothing better to do with my life right this very moment.

This one is you though:

I had heard she was harder. Hence taking it with Spike.

uhhhhh heritability x selection intensity/generation interval = genetic progress. Does Spurlock have you do the beef breeding thing? I totally destroyed that thing, which is good considering what I went into.

Also, I don't know about the pig side, but being on the bovine side, pretty much everyone important in animal genetics came through ISU at some point. It's a little frightening.

What beef breeding thing?

Luckily its a multiple choice test, so that helps. I mostly understand the concepts, its just the math that really throws me off. It just doesnt make any sense to me, which is weird, cuz generally Im pretty good at math.

I once went in to get my eyebrows waxed...just a clean up...and the aesthetician gave me that "perpetually surprised" look. Really made them skinny from the top of the arc to the end. I am now very specific in what I want done.

Oh, for Pete's sake, another made up title. That industry has more made up titles than any I can think of. In the last 50 years or so they have made up beautician, cosmetologist and now aesthetician. And that is just the ones I'm aware of with a wife that doesn't go for all of that.

Spike did a beef selection thing that went through the semester. You'd pick your sires based on their EPDs (I think?) and they had little rankings for calving ease, carcass quality, and something like days to market. Then you'd get the EBVs or something and basically try to improve the genetics of your herd. I think after the first round of picking sires, you picked daughters to keep in the herd or something like that. It was to show how EBVs aren't 100% reliable and to not put all your eggs in one basket/don't select for just one trait. The top % got extra credit. I know I wasn't the highest person overall, but I think I was top 5 or 10 because I got extra credit.

how do you keep jeans from fading? The ones I love are on a super duper sale today but I feel like they fade sort of fast. I also wear them probably 5 times a week, wash them once, line dry. So that probably wears them out faster! I saw something about soaking them in vinegar - but is that before every time you wash them or just once? Cause that's a pain.

Wash 'em inside out.

Buy five pairs ( they are on super duper sale, after all), wear them each once a week and do wash every five weeks!

It's not like you won't have the master closet space in the new Taj MahCowgirl.

That sounds awesome and practical!! I wish we did something like that, because that is what is interesting to me. It feels like this class is more set towards grad school students or people that are going to be geneticists. Im more interested in the practical part.

Test is over and I feel like I did good enough. Will see in couple days.

yeah, I could see it being more for grad students since that's kind of her thing.

well I have two pairs now......at different stages of fadedom but I'm thinking I may get two more and and pretty much do that. Though I think I should wash them more than once every five weeks. I tried just soaking them in the tub one time, but I had nowhere practical to hang them to drip dry. They are 60% off with free shipping (that part never happens) and I have a $15 gift card thing to use. So two pairs would be like.....just under $50.
