Did 13 have those curbs on the side of the narrow stretch of pavement then that would kick you back toward oncoming traffic if you got too wide?

I have an established hate for Hwy 13. Yes, it had the killer curbs and drain outlets with posts. It's was only 16 feet wide and that included the curb. My mother totaled the '69 Wildcat on that road. Slid on ice and hit one of those stupid posts and it flipped the car over a couple of times. She got out of it with a big bruise on her forearm. Seat belts!

Same road heading into Manchester on the ice my dad flipped his gas truck. The 1200 gallon tank acted as a roll bar and somehow he got out relatively unscathed with lots of big bruises and a mouth full of glass. He figured when he was in the last farmyard delivering fuel that one of the kids who was climbing around the truck flipped the electric brake lock to UP. When my dad tapped the brakes at the curve it activated the brake and locked all four brakes. Boom!

I am VERY careful driving 13 even with those killer curbs removed. Road has it in for my family and I worry that my parental units used up TOO much luck.

Well, it took me 18 hours but I have finally successfully extricated the neighbor's children and it is just me and my boys again. Although the older one asked if she can come back later. The grandmother has arrived so I don't have to worry about their father taking them out to the bars with him or anything.

I thought the kid was born last night? And really, I'm not sure what your profession is, but to me, labor/delivery is not a DIY thing.

(AND YES, NUTSO MIDWIFE/WATER BIRTH PEOPLE, I KNOW this IS actually a DIY thing for some people, and I'm not trying to start an argument, I was making a joke.)

She called me to come get them around midnight last night and I had them until after 6:00 tonight. I thought maybe the husband or a relative could have retrieved them sooner since I got them dumped on me out of the blue because she saw my lights were on when her water broke. The house keys would have been helpful as well since she left two diapers for the two year old. But we went to the store and bought some.

Running out for some sushi. Fully expect by the time I get back that da boys will have called in a gif bombing mission on some thread.
