You know what I like about random? It's that I don't very often feel like telling posters here to go **** themselves like I do in half of the other threads on CF.

Not that I tell people on CF to go **** themselves, being a nice Iowa raised boy and all, but I did think it a lot. :smile:

No I realized the kids were with you when I read the full post, but the statement about you and Waylon in a hot tub had just enough of a lead in it to wonder where the story was headed till I read the full post.

BTW, my sinuses are bugging me today which I have always attributed to that Klein fastball in the face so many decades ago.

Channel flipping and passed some retro channel playing an old TV episode of Combat from when I was a kid. Watched less than a minute of it and remembered the whole damn thing down to the O.Henry ending.

But they decided to get a jump on some stuff at work, so yaaaaayyyyy.....
 
Woke up about 6...choices:

Lay there and try to be quiet.
get up and try to be quiet on the couch
go for a walk and listen to podcasts.

Yeah, that's right exercisers...I was so bored I went for a walk.

Yeah, but then I'd be anti-social. I should specify...I don't complain because of snootiness...these people are much more well off than us, they've just got 1970's food thoughts...phony everything, processed reduced everything...oldest said he wanted butter on his pancakes...I wanted to yell "THERE IS NO BUTTER, IT'S ALL FAKE BUTTER!!!!" Honestly, there's gotta be a tub of Oleo inna back of the fridge somewhere.

I think the random thread attracts the nicest posters on CF so that helps, also nothing in here gets too contentious. And finally, let's be honest, most of us need to be polite since we're just guests in this thread. The top four posters (Cowgirl, Pants, 00, and KC) have about 50% of all the posts.

There are worse things than this, like visiting friends who don't drink coffee or even have any in their house. :swoon:
