The BDJ news slowed me down some today but I still finished my wire closet shelving project with only one unplanned trip to Home Depot.

Observation, ClosetMaid components ain't cheap but they are decent quality.

I asked a girl out and she only would date certain religious types (it had to be a certain religion and the same level of activity). I lied so I could get a date with her. This is gonna last one date... maybe two.

Probably equally her fault. I had a girl date me once because I have a cross tattoo on my arm. I can't help it she assumed it meant I was really into Christianity.

I'd have to ask the question of why you got a cross tattoo if you're not into Christianity, though? I mean, not in a judgmental sense, but curious...maybe a bit confused. You could put the coolest star and crescent design I've ever seen in front of me, but I ain't getting it as a tattoo, just because of the associations. I guess maybe if it was a cross more than a crucifix, I could see.

got lots of girls at the crib getting shots ,dancing to the beat, and strip pole dancing.

Well before Christianity ever existed the cross was (and still is) a widely known symbol for power and strength. Which is why some say Christianity chose it as it's symbol, as many religious scholars believe Jesus was actually hung from one singular pole and not a crucifix.

Not trying to turn this into cave material, though I think even a discussion of this level could still be handled just fine in this thread.

Not equating the two but it seems like the cross has been co-opted fully by christianity similarly to the nazis and the swastika. Like its just assumed they're linked.

Understood, but you knew what connotations you were getting as a package deal. Again, not judgmental, but no way I'd take that whole ball of wax if it weren't my thing.
