I, my pharmacist, and eventually the nice person at whatever number who tried to help me and demanded to speak to a manager after another place was no help all got the run around. Generic medications should be covered at 100%. We all agree on that. Pharmacist, FDA, the company that makes mine all agree mine is a generic. It's so generic that what it was originally a generic of isn't even made any more. It is by no means new to the market. Insurance apparently does not think so. So that's the catch. Generics are covered at 100%...........but they consider nothing generic!

Good news. This generic medication is covered 100%:

Question for the parents out there. If your SO had a particularly ****** day at work and is taking it out unnecessarily on your kid, do you intervene, wait til it's over and discuss it later, or let it go and hope they apologize to your kid for snapping?

We always have each other's back for discipline, but my wife was getting a little snippy tonight and I could see it was bugging my daughter. I'm fine if she vents on me. I shrug it off.

was this in Iowa? DH is a month older than me so right after he had turned 21, but before I did, we were with his parents and grandpa and they were going into a casino in Dubuque to watch a singer his grandpa wanted to see. But they wouldn't let 20 year and 50 weeks old me in - despite everyone else being over 21. So DH and I went and sat at the attached hotel and chilled out. On DH's birthday just prior to that, we went to Wal-Mart to buy him some alcohol, and again, they wouldn't sell it to him with me in line. He was like what if I leave and come back without her? "well I've already seen you so I won't let you purchase anything."

Yeah, but a few years earlier...before the actual casino, just the riverboat and the doggies.

I wouldn't intervene immediately, but if you can get her off to the side...that way you're giving her an out and not calling her out in front of the kid.

Oh, who am I kidding, ^^^^ that's perfect world stuff...I'd probably crack a joke or ask what was up her ***.

I just opened the #Hang5AtHilton thread, and was surprised to see my husband's Twitter handle quoted in the first post.

Only read the first page, but not feeling very hopeful on the potential of the thread.

EDIT: Actually, not as bad as I thought. Fairly civil discourse.

Agreed. Some of those young bucks are being exceptionally disrespectful to their elders.
While it's always based on the individual, growing up being able to hide behind the anonymity of a message board has created a lot of monsters. I think of some of the jackasses that I grew up around and can only imagine what they would have been like had we grown up with the current technology.

While I agree with your observations regarding the anonymity of the internet, in this case there was an implied jimlad that cmjh knew about. He was poking fun at old folks in the current "fans are great, student section sucks" thread, and I responded to it both there and here. :)

Well, now that I know where you sit for games, I can watch you to see if you are doing your part during the game.

Or you could ask Rulzzz...who sits two rows in front of us. I don't stand a lot - I'm up & down, but arthritis in my back makes it tough to stand for a whole game. What I lack in height, I do my best to make up for with volume. :)

edit: wow, impressive - three prepositions in a row in one sentence. Poor grammar, but I should get points for effort. :)

My dad was walking down the stairs in his home this evening. He misjudged, missed the last step and fell. Resulted in a broken leg below the kneecap, and a high ankle sprain.

Big Daddy Kane played horribly in his intramural basketball game tonight, you guys. He looked like Tyronn Lue trying to check Allen Iverson.

Check out Cooler's signature. I'd say if she's good enough, it won't be because she didn't want to. :)

Side note:

Can you imagine the games of HORSE at that house? Give the twins a couple more years to catch up a bit in maturity and that would be a death match!
They would have to call it a game after someone FINALLY got an "H".

Blerrgh...the ***holes are everywhere...so there's this new person who does a job I used to do, way back inna day, but he's dumb and a dork. So, his *mentors* who gave him the whitewash and shipped him off to 2nd shift were gracious enough to tell him that if he had any questions, 00clone used to do this, ask him. So derpy mcderperson saunters over every dang night with a rudimentary question for me to answer....and I'm torn, because it's also kind of his mentors' fault for shipping him off without the right info, but he's just so annoying and like making conclusions he doesn't really know and then he gets waaaay down the wrong rabbit hole...

OK, so last night he comes over with a sitchiation, and he's not down the wrong rabbit hole, he is sitting in the field wondering where the rabbit holes are, and not really having any idea where to look. So I ask him all the questions, get him to the root cause of his sitchiation, and send him on his way. He asks if I could send him an e-mail to summarize what I just told him, (unspoken...because he's already getting confused about the clear answer I gave him), and I do.

Tonight, the e-mail that he sent off explaining what happened got taken by other people who do my job and they started resolving the questions I laid out for next steps, but he's confused by them, so hum-da-dum-da-dum, derpy mcderperson comes back over to get more guidance. As I'm reading thru the e-mail that he printed out for me to review (seriously, who the eff prints an e-mail anymore?), I see a line in his e-mail where he said last night...

"I think 00clone and I figured it out"

Are you ******* kidding me? You sat there as I told you how I figured it out, then you were too confused to understand it, and so I had to put it in writing, and then you took my info, put it in your own e-mail and took half the credit?

I feel like chewing someone else's leg off. Plant manager meeting today with the whole plant, regular stuff, just information...open for questions at the end. Minion in my area says that his station was changed and he now can't move his things where he needs them to 'do my job'. I eyeball the other me, and his boss...nope...so this happened last night (new system put in just before the start of our shift)...he said NOTHING to any of the 3 of us for 8 ****ING hours last night, and it's not like he didn't see us or 'we were avoiding him'...2 of us talked to him several times over other things, but he decides he should just bring it up to the plant manager as if we weren't doing anything about it. So my boss gets to stay late after the meeting to smooth things over.

I certainly don't know the work environment there, was there any input by the floor employees before the change or did they come in and stuff is all changed because "we know how to do your job better than you". If it a employee who usually complains not so much weight to their view, but if they're someone that comes in and gets it done maybe they felt no one would listen unless it went to the top first.

Ouch, Hope he heals well. Never any good when people get buggered up.

Decided to start giving plasma, because why not. It's a nice little pocket change for someone who can't work.
