I remember watching Jimmy Connors in his last US Open. He went for the towel after every point. It was an evening match and as I recall it went well past midnight. It was the slowest tennis I have ever seen.

Djokovic doesn't help any either, they both stall forever. My bananas will be ripe before the second set is over. That was one of the best things with that epic Federer/Roddick Wimbledon final, they both just got at it as far as pace of the game.

Either put them in a bag or don't - I don't know what to do anymore. :spinny:

so now I want to know about task/project management type apps. Asana looks really good but can't be used offline. Boo.

Such a nice day outside.

Carvers...are we cool? I totally wasn't saying you were dumb....

:wubclub:

Yea, we're fine. On the other hand, I don't think you want to know what I think of the ISU Athletic Department and the richy rich people who tell it what to do. First time I have ever felt ashamed of my alma mater.

Was anyone here not allowed to throw their cap at high school graduation? It's the seniors last day in my town so I though of this. It has been a rule at my high school for as long as I have lived in town (almost 10 years). Only school in the area that won't allow it. I'm sure there are others out there.

Cedar Rapids schools have had this rule since at least 2000 when my brother graduated. Throw your hat in the air = not getting your diploma until you write a lengthy apology letter to put in the paper

Stupid. Here you get to keep the cap. Silly String is what is used. Messy and stinks up the whole gym. I want to know what the reasoning is for not allowing it. We were never told.

You'll poke your eye out?

My memory is fuzzy, but I want to say my HS mortarboard was made of foam, so it wasn't as big of a deal. Plus, we were outside.

Our graduation was held in the Seattle Opera House. We tossed ours. We made sure to write our names on tape and label them first though, because we had to return them with the gowns. We were on the stage under the lights, so we wore next to nothing under the gowns. We kept the gowns on, then took them and the caps back to the school the following week. We didn't get our actual diploma until they got the cap & gown back. The only thing we got to keep was the tassel.

CG congrats on new job.

Woo still in Ohio or did you move to Madison?

Stumbles sorry about the loss of you pet.

Vikes Belated B-day greetings
