We knew Sunday was off to a great start when MrsWx walked out to the van before church carrying the creamer instead of the coffee mug.

Coworker has a sign in her cubicle that reads "Discovered I don't like coffee, I like creamer."

How long ago was that? I frequent Chucktown for work and have never heard of that.

Believe the Sara Lee plant was in Charles City so maybe that is where the outlet was also?

Wrong. It was New Hampton.

Was such much long time gone but used to buy Sara Lee Black Forest Cake as a special treat in Iowa. Parental units used to stop and buy it at their outlet store in some town (New Hampton?) between their place and Rochester. Was also on my route down to Manchester. Was my favorite dessert even if it was frozen store bought mass produced. No longer a product they make.

Now I REALLY want it for nostalgia sake.

New Hampton. The outlet store was in the same town as the production plant. I worked at the plant for one of my summer jobs after my first year at ISU.

MrsWx used to be real bad about that but has gotten better. She also doesn't drink coffee like she used to.

Had to go into a farm store after getting a project done. I had brought another set of clothes but still have a little feed dust that I couldn’t brush off. Go to check out and she rings up a senior discount. Im not that old. If I had more pride than cheapness, I would have said something,but cheapness won.

What bothered me more is this woman is definitely quite a bit older than I am. Must be why that young woman struck up a conversation with me in the beer line at the concert Saturday night. I got the grandpa vibes going or something.

I never think to check for a senior discount. Not all that common for what I spend my money on.

Yeah, as only a partial member of the club (only a few places give you discounts at 50 or 55) I always forget to ask. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I have benefitted from a senior discount.

It probably doesn't help that Mrs. Velo laughs at me every time I do...

@ImJustKCClone FYI we have 2 surprise lilies blooming and 2 more that just sprung up yesterday ready to bloom in a day or so. Apparently the rest of those naked ladies didn’t much care for all our hot, smoky, dry/humid weather this summer.
