We're under siege here in north Ankeny.
Had to park outside this past week. Had two pieces of firework remnants on my hood and windshield this morning and a little army guy thing on my roof.

Son took my older pickup to the fourth. It still smells like cologne. One of his buddies wears it too heavy. I have my hog site clothes and boots on and it’s overrode those and that takes something

They’re here in Ames, too, although I can tune them out if needed.
Had a big mound of dirt in my back yard. Found the hole and filled it back in. Came back an hour later and something was digging it back out. Turns out it is a Cicada Killer. Those things are big and can move a lot of dirt!

Just yesterday I noticed a large hole about that size in my raised bed of cannas. I was looking for Japanese beetles (yep, they're already here) and saw it. Remembered just in time not to stomp it shut.

Freaking pouring out and did a while ago too. Perhaps the grass will actually be green this summer.

Wondering if this might be the same school that had the word "Pride" inside the cross on the back of their wrestling singlet a few years back. Had me all

Don't know why but Poky is the cheap gas capitol of NWIA but 3.04 is pretty good compared to the rest of the area.
