Ottumwa scores 16 on 7 hits and 11 walks in the first inning in baseball vs DSM Hoover. End up winning 17-2 in 4.
Oof. State championship game? Was watching state baseball championships today. All close games, one went 11 innings. Brewers manager's son played in the D1 championship and won.
Iowa doesn't start BB until May. So just a regular season game. Son's team has 5 games in 5 nights next week. We basically have 5 pitchers (and that is stretching it) who are deemed Varsity pitchers. A couple JV ones and two seniors have thrown an inning of JV to see if they could at least close out a game if needed to. They have a game tomorrow night also. Their top pitcher is going to throw for that one since it's the rival. He can throw 65 pitches and still be available on Monday when this crapshow starts. I hope the coaches watch the pitch count and pull him at 65 if the game is out of hand. They had to sit one pitcher last night because he pitched 41 pitches on Monday. 25 and less is no days rest, 26-40 is 1 day of rest and 41-65 is 2 days rest.
Guess I'm heading out by Holland Michigan this weekend. Will be coming back late Sunday night. Any suggestions on where the west side of Chicago on 80 gets okay to stay at. I know Joliet seems to be a craphole, but is Morris or someplace okay to crash at a hotel?

I got a bone to pick with you. It took me four tries to pay for the dinner - those pictures are STOOPID tiny, and I apparently couldn't see all the buses and bicycles. That's ageism, dude!!! Discrimination against elderly eyes and failing eyesight!
