I’m trying to figure out if they just sit in a Walmart parking lot or what?

If I wasn't in a hurry if I came across this I would wait and watch the outcome. wouldn't have recorded it but would have watched if not on a time line.

Went birdabout to a park in St. Paul to see three baby Great Horned Owl owlets that were nested in an easily visible tree cavity. When I got there one had fallen from the nest cavity so several of us waited around till the U of M Raptor Ctr peeps came out. His ladder was too short to put it back in the tree cavity nest (it was injured) so he put it up on a lower branch in an adjacent tree where the parents can still find and feed it. Pretty cool. Photo collage of owlet on the ground, being carrolled, lifted back into a tree and settling in a bit.

You know what is great about the sun going down late? supper at 11:15 .

Parent update I think he is turning the corner in a good way his appetite has returned.

On the way back from last stop of the day, Warren Zevon's Werewolf of London came on the radio. That helped the drive home.

We think it's the youngest of the three. Probably got bumped out by the oldest one when the big boy was testing his wings and the little dude was trying to poop over the edge. They will turn around and try and poop out of the nest, or in this case a tree cavity. Raptor Ctr dude was telling us a lot owlets fall out and the parents will just feed them on the ground but in this park with all of the dogs and people it was best to try and perch in back into a tree.

Here are the two left in the nest.

He hand picks the bananas under a full moon in BC Land and carefully distills them into "BC's Slippery Banana Juice"--it has a lot of appeel. Soon available in stores near you.
BC's slippery banana juice sounds like it could have been coined by one of his crazy ex-girlfriends.

Welp.
Here we go again.
After a routine CT last week showed that a nodule in the lower left lobe of his lungs had grown from 9mm to 13mm in the past year, Lew underwent a PET scan yesterday. Results: the nodule lit up, and a section of his sigmoid colon also lit up.
So now he starts a new round of diagnositics. Lung biopsy next week, coloonoscopy in a couple of months (he's on a wait list to get it done sooner).
His CLL is unchanged, so that's good. His oncologist is optimistic. Doc R says that IF the lung nodule comes back as cancerous, it's isolated and a "simple" surgical fix would be the likely route...no chemo or radiation. And the bowel could very well be just a random irritation since Lew has no other symptoms, and had a clean colonoscopy just 2 years ago.

Bah.
Just had to vent. We're both thinking on the positive side. It's the damned hurry up & wait diagnostics that wear us down. New doctors, multiple appts,.. It's hard to plan future activities when you don't know what's going on with your health.
