And when I say sorting through papers, I mean PAPERS...
I was down there yesterday running two shredders for six hours. I was shredding utility bills from the 90's...
My parents built new at retirement and purged A LOT.
I'm going to be fortunate that when their health deteriorates that the did that for me. Both of their parents left them with quite a burden document wise.

Also fortunate that when they did build, they chose a great floor plan, and they didn't do anything weird at all paint/cabinet/appliance wise that will make it difficult for me to sell.

My sister took care of all of our father's stuff. She had already done a lot of it when our stepmother passed, and then again when we moved him out of his house in Phoenix to an assisted living facility near her in Texas. There was almost nothing left to do when he passed.
His mother - well, her stuff went pretty quick because two of his sisters had been assisting her for quite a while, and had thinned much of it out. What's interesting is that one of those two sisters is the one whose stuff he is currently dealing with.

My sister and I are NOT looking forward to cleaning out my parents' stuff when they die. Definitely hoarders. It'll take us weeks/months/a year.

Been there, done that. Not hoarders but savers. Like all of my old toys were in the attic etc. Lots and lots of stuff, not trash or anything but hard to get through because my sister wanted to review/check everything. Took forever to the point the lawyers was asking when we were going to get the house cleaned out and sold to clear the estate.

I have too much stuff myself. Working to thin it down but if my nieces need to come for my stuff it will be quick. They might take a couple of things (maybe some furniture), have a sale and Goodwill/toss the rest. One NIL might want the old guns and the old Porsche.

Went to the game and survived it. Good to see ISU niece.
KC are you doing better with some A.C. and shade?
We left at the start of the 4th she was getting a little light headed. It was fine with me. Went to North grand bebops and picked up a chocolate shake for the drive home it was good.

You are correct I should have phrased that better. Ms3r usually catches my poor sentence structure.
Sorry, just now back on here. Heat must have done a number on me - tried to take a nap and couldn’t. Just now feeling like I could eat something. Maybe ice cream :)

Got your text late. Had volume off and with the heat, I never checked it so it wouldn’t get hot (it’s old, crappy, and has a heat problem). We wandered quite a bit and hit a few tents on the south side this time. Better food in those tents.

Thanks for asking. I'm back down to normal...I was better by the time we got home. Kinda scared me...heart rate was at over 240bpm when I got to the aid station. I may be more cautious about early games. I hope the weather next weekend is better for me. :(

Yikes! Glad you recovered quickly.
