I learned 2 new German phrases today. "Hast du ihm gerade Bombe gegeben?" Which literally translates to "did you just give him a bomb?", but it's now apparently teenage slang for "did you just hit him?". Then "Du kleiner dreckiner Huhrensohn!", which means "You little filthy son of a whöre!"

No I came across a video on reddit where a teenage girl was bullying a teenage boy and she was trying to get him to hit her but he wouldn't because she was a girl, so she slapped him, then he punched her. The girl filming asked if she just hit him, the bully girl shouts "you son of a *****", goes back for more, tries to kick him, but he tackles her.

Another one is “das ist ja der Hammer” which literally means “that is the hammer” but means “that’s awesome”

Also, who knew late Friday afternoon was a convenient time to call the IRS? I’ll probably be on hold for 30 minutes to an hour, but that’s better than the system saying “we can’t talk to you today, kthnxbye”

Still in the drought?

It did rain this week but the answers is yes. One rainfall isn't a drought breaker. I did get somewhere between a 1/4" and 1/2" depending on the nearest NWS gage. Guess more like the 1/4" and it was all in like in 15 minutes.

Yeah that just let you skip 1 days worth of watering. I picked up .55 Thurs afternoon it was much needed. Could have used 4x that if it came in 12 or 24 hrs,

Today felt more like a 'dry' heat but now it's pretty miserable out. Supposed to break tonight.

All considered it's been a real tolerable summer temps-wise and August tends to have far less humid/cooler nights which is just around the corner.
