Actually, just in my small world...
Last week, Peru had changed their entry requirements to either fully vaccinated, OR a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours. Made it better for us, because we are leaving early Monday morning, and getting the test in that time frame would have been tough.
We got an email at 9.50 this morning from the company running our land tour, informing us that Peru had abruptly changed their entry requirements to fully vaccinated AND a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours - and it went into effect THIS MORNING...on a weekend!!! No warning, no grace period whatsoever. HO...LEE...CRAP!!!
It was a mad scramble this morning trying to find out on a Saturday where we could get the right test AND get the results back in time. Lew had the brilliant idea to call First Nurse, and thank goodness he did. She got us through a website and we were able to schedule appointments at the Des Moines airport to get the test done; we should have the results tomorrow (they promise 48 hours, but he told us they've actually been getting them done within 24).
Just one more thing to make me bat-spit crazy!
