One of the problems with what they built by me is the roundabout is the same color as the road. They need to paint the curb around it. Might make it stand out a bit more because all of the signs aren't doing the trick.
I took a picture of one of them today to illustrate my point

I should also add on my walk this morning I saw yet another sign taken out at the roundabout further on down the road. Less than a year and I bet cars have driven over at least 20 signs so far.

Oh, man - they REALLY need to add definition to the center circle. That would be way too easy to miss, and too easy to ignore if you're stupid and in a hurry. That soft curb won't deter anyone from crossing it.

Yeah, that's horribly done. They need to either paint the curb or add something. There was one near my parents place in Omaha that used a stained, stamped concrete as a visual cue. Just as durable, but you can at least see it.

The soft curb will stay for when a tractor-trailer drags across it.

That pretty much describes all road work in Omaha. I don't know how they can continually screw up every single road project there is. They usually take longer than they should and start falling apart within a couple of years

My roundabout is on a residential street so there isn't as much concern about long tractor trailer combinations. (I think it is a larger diameter circle as well which helps.) Ours has a regular hard curb and is grass inside the curb. That doesn't stop fools from driving right over the middle when there is fresh snow.

Some roundabouts up here between JC's house and mine have the outside (driving) lane, a rollover curb like yours and then a colored concrete or brick surface inside that curb. Then there is a hard curb inside of the "rollover" lane. If you try to go straight across those bad boys you are definitely going to feel it.

Of the 4 roundabouts they put in one of them has grass inside of it, the problem is it is like the roundabout I posted with a smaller circle of grass inside of the larger circle. I'll take a photo of that mess next time I go walking down there during daylight hours

I mixed up a batch of no knead bread and just realized I forgot to add salt. Oh well, it can't make that much of a difference in how it tastes, can it?

Neighbors son is not a fan of work it appears. He decided to move back home with his two kids so I'm guessing his rent was mowing the lawn(aka weed patch). He had a push mower and would really struggle; pull a drag off his vaping thing and take off fast for about 20 foot and then be back at granny speed by the end of the pass. Reason I don't think he cared to do it is that he mowed everything. Ran over the asparagus, the flowers, rhubarb, you name it. Kind of funny (and sad since I planted those for my mom) watching the flowers and vegetables go flying out of the mower.

Yeah all ours here have stamped concrete bordering what is typically a built up greenspace/landscaped area in the middle

Not sure what to think of this. Four days of actual real rain, too much at once even, in the forecast. Seems so un-2021. Might muck up my goal to get in 300 Biker Biker miles this month, at 251, not used to seeing multiple days maybe rained out. Weird.

Uuummmmm…. Can you pan down on that first map? There is a 4+ in an area of interest to me.
