Observation, my neighbors are not night people. Did walkabout with JTD a little after 10:30 and 75% of the houses are pitch black. Josie is adjusting to staying up to the 1:30 a.m. Uncle Boxster bedtime.

Woot Woot 1st shot tomorrow! Don't which find out when I get there. Do know it is a 2 shotter though so either Pfizer or Moderna.

Celebrate!

Some good news this morning about Pfizer (and Moderna would be similar) showing very strong protection after 6 months.

Hopefully the media circles emphasize AT LEAST 6 months which means it likely lasts for a long time, as I'd imagine the 'it only protects for 6 months' narrative will spread.

Got Moderna #1 on Tuesday.

While waiting on spot #1 (next to go in for the shot) one of the workers in there walked up to me and gave me a hug. I was wondering, "who could this be?" I didn't recognize her with the mask on until she spoke and I recognized the voice. Between the mask, hair that is now totally gray, and glasses now I was at a loss. She is a former co-worker. Nice to catch up.

I was surprised - not that my arm was sore but that the entire delt from the point of the stick down was all sore.

Small price to pay for the chip upgrade... ;)

I hit my two weeks post 2nd dose a while ago and with the new DNA, turned into a dinosaur for a week.

10/10 would recommend.

Ok, hold up. Velo made me think this chip upgrade would convert me over to some sort of cybernetic organism like the Terminator, and now you're telling me they're injecting us with dinosaur DNA that turns us into a human/dinosaur cross that can change back and forth?

I don't know which would be cooler and which one I'm more excited for.

The vixen and I get our second shots next week on Thursday. FTW
My wife and I get our second shots less than a week later than you. #winning

I'm not jealous, because we're scheduled for our second ones April 17. Only evidence of first for me is tiny yellow bruise-like area where it all happened.
Can we pick our dinosaur? I kinda like this newly discovered guy. Just call me Lucky for short. https://www.cnet.com/news/one-who-c...vered-dinosaur-was-a-true-meat-eating-terror/

Depends on if you got Moderna, Janssen or Pfizer.

I saw that one in 2019 very drunk in theatres, and didn't enjoy it much. I am very pro-godzilla when it comes to the originals though.
The story was ridiculously bad. It's pretty bad when you have a Godzilla movie and Godzilla, and the rest of the monsters are secondary to the idiot humans.

Any good rack of lamb recipes preferably easy? Saw a small rack of lamb at the grocery store and bought it to try. Never have cooked one before.

I haven't seen my stylist since Feb 2020. My bangs are now chin-length, and the whole top of my head is more grey than auburn. The bottom tips reach past my butt now (even at the lower level that my butt currently sinks to ), and from the shoulders down the assisted color is still there. It's a red skunk motif - I call it covid hair. :D

In about 2 weeks I'll go in to my stylist (who had her second shot before I did) and have her take 6-8 inches off the ends to bring it back up to about my waist) and make everything match again. But I'm not doing the roots... we're putting "silver" highlights in the ends so that the grey/auburn ratio is consistent with my own natural ratio. I've decided to embrace my grey.
Net result: when we come over to say howdy at JTS this fall, you'll only have my stature and outline to use for reconition. :D

They're discovering all kinds of neat new (ancient) critters in South America. I'm kind of partial to the Terror Bird family, myself. :D

I've never done rack of lamb but at Christmas I did a boneless leg of lamb.
I mixed
1tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp rosemary (i put it in a mini blender to hack it up)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 TBLS lemon juice.

Mixed all that together and rubbed the lamb with that.
Preheated oven to 450
15 minutes at 450 then turn down to 325 and cook until 140 (or whatever internal temp you want)

I was thinking of doing that again on Sunday
