There's something kind of funny and also kind of sad when your sister (who is rarely on Facebook) gets on there early in the morning to wish you a happy birthday...

...and it's NOT your birthday...

What the heck is Lady Gaga wearing at the inauguration? Did she think this is happening at disneyworld?

I'm actually more shocked she wasn't dressed as a celery.

She's very talented, but that was one documentary that I didn't come away a bigger fan than prior to viewing.

That's Dickens not Tolstoy; A Tale of Two Cities.

I read a whole bunch of Dickens when I was in high school because I had the coolest volumes to read.

Its a six volume set with over twenty of his works in it.

As a confirmed bibliophile, this warms my heart. A fine tradition, Velo!

Is she close (like within a couple of days, or are we talking like months off?)

One day early.

Funny story...after my divorce, I found out that my teenage sons weren't sure what day my birthday fell on. My ex's was the 19th, mine was the 21st, so we always celebrated "our" birthday on the 20th. They weren't sure which one was actually mine. :D

Ha! My mom's birthday is the 18th, my dad's is today, same year.

The face on my grandmother when my dad told her he was dating an older woman was supposedly priceless. :D
