Anyone ever hear of Gopuff?

Apparently it's yet another in a long line of crowdsourced delivery stuff.
I just had a package show up on my doorstep. The address on it is not mine yet when you google that address it shows up as mine house. Different street name and the number.
I just called them and gave them the order number and they said they would reach out to the original sender to verify the address.
It's just some random crap, Lifesavers gummies, Cheetos Hot Fires, pepperoni rolls, Welches fruit snacks, Reese's peanut butter cups, a bottle of lemonade and a bottle of cranberry juice cocktail.
They said I could keep it or donate it to anything I wanted because due to covid they don't take returns.

Never heard of them. Was going to mention that if it was from Vicky's then I would probably try to track down the purchaser. I'd probably keep the peanut butter cups, lemonade and maybe the gummies and find a nerd to have the rest.

Did you see some guy from BarStool sports says he lost $700,000 on this GameStop AMC stuff and claims Robinhood stole it from him because they shouldn't have let him buy the stock.

Moron. I could have made some decent money on gamestop stock had I not been wanting to see if those crazy statements were true. I am out of it now (made 25 bucks or so when all said and done), have some AMC stock that I'm down less than a buck a share and 20 shares of nokia that I'm down 2.50 a share. If I liquidated right now on that stuff, I'd be out 20-30 dollars. I do dumber stuff for much more money than that.

Well free food so that's not all bad.

I wonder if he actually lost 700,000 or if that's from off the high when he didn't sell. Not selling on the high isn't the same as taking a loss. Stocks are gambling it really is that simple.
We all think we make good choices , but there have been enough big dips in the market over the last 30 yrs for me to realize that I'm kind of along for the ride and hope they keep trending up.

Not sure, but there is some serious damage happening with this stock. If people are selling at 300, there are people buying at 300.

Lew bought 2 shares for kicks & giggles, made about $350 in profit when he sold them. But he has been watching how pissy the big boys got about the whole kerfluffle, and laughing...

The bad part was, there were many people who had bought at under 100/share telling the people who bought at 300/share that they needed to hold out for the 1000+/share. Easy to hold out when you are in the money heavily and others are upside down a lot. I told my oldest that I would sell when I got up 100 bucks but then said, let's see what will happen. When the crash was apparent I stuck an offer in and cleaned out to avoid a hit.

This whole saga is just bizarre. It all started with Reddit people deciding to drive up the price per share of a few stocks to screw over the hedge funds that were heavily shorted on those stocks correct?

I've haven't put numbers on my house since it was resided. I guess I better buy some and get those up. Not sure it would have helped in this instance since Google says that address is where I am.

I believe there was discussion a few weeks back about the time I was in hospital about the our house hyvee commercials and that several here weren't a fan. Well I have a couple to throw into the discussion. 1 is the "I like your pj's" domino's ad. 2 and most annoying is the liberty insurance ad where they flashback to a xmas from past where 1 kid opens a package of insurance and is jacked and the other kid is disappointed with his "stupid bike".

None of the insurance commercials are worth 2 cents. Isn't an ad supposed to tout your advantage(s) over the competition? What do we have.....an emu, a butt-ugly waitress, and J. K. Simmons being arrogant.

We kind of like the Liberty commercial when the phone is on vibrate, or throws himself into the box of rice. :D

And JK Simmons is MUCH better as the Yellow M&M.

And now there is a HyVee pink house commercial focused on Valentine's Day. I guess. At least it has a short life.

I don't know how, or even if it's possible, to link to a Facebook post. Otherwise I would post this from Beth Wessel-Kroeschell (from this afternoon) in an appropriate thread. I'm almost giggling as I read the comments.

Today, I am wearing jeans (denim) on the house floor. It goes against house rules. However, the Speaker said that he could not enforce a facemask mandate in the house. I am trying to learn how he will enforce the dress code. The Chief clerk has asked me to change my pants. I declined asking how she intended to enforce this since a face mask mandate was unenforceable. Still learning. I am not hurting anyone by wearing jeans. Many people could die from the lack of face masks.
