Went slow photography walkabout to test the tender right foot metatarsals. Saw not much. but foot didn't hurt too much and the cross country skiers are gone from the park so lots of paths for just me again.

I saw several deer the other night on a walk. The trail was super icy and the deer looked like they're ready for this **** to be over too.

I'm starting to hear birds be a bit more vocal.

I have to start taking stuff out of the freezer instead of putting more into it. It's full.
My inlaws are like that. When the FIL passed away people brought food and things. I was kind of the person who put stuff away. I ran out of room quickly. I told the wife, who loves cleaning and she went with me to clean them out. Her brother came out mad at us. I told him I’m only throwing stuff that was dated before my youngest was born. He was around 10 or so at the time. He just turned around and went back inside.

2 wks ago there were quite a few Robins at the State Fairgrounds they didn't look very happy in those negative numbers.

The vixen and her sister cleaned out the MIL's freezer not too long after the FIL died. There were some packages of meat in there from 2011. She's a food hoarder, for sure.....also had three frozen cherry pies in there. Three pies for one woman?

Boss tested positive for COVID. He had been here working while sick. We're all about ready to shoot him. Who does that? Just stay home, for heaven's sake.

Are you in Iowa?

The culture around my dad anyway is exactly this kind of scenario. Folks protecting themselves kind of but no thoughts of others if they get it.

These same people will complain if things like concerts etc. are still limited or not even happening this summer as they were ok with spreading it.

*This is not to say it doesn't happen everywhere...just seems very common around there.

A friend of mines son starts the Appalachian Trail tomorrow I believe, flew out of MSP today.
I've had a few friends complete that hike.
A guy I guided on a backpacking trip in NM 5+ years ago just started his hike last week.
I hope he has good weather and regular access to trail shelters.

I've seen robins all winter around trout stream springs and other water sources...I always thought they migrated but apparently they'll winter even here if there's food available and it was mild until February.

But yeah I bet they regretted that decision during that really cold stretch.

Is this like a work safety issue you can report him for? Idk anyone who would be this much of a ****.

Yes, in Fort Dodge. He's the type that thinks it's "manly" to come to work when sick, never mind concerning yourself with others' welfare. But that's typical of him.

When we were moving my stepdad's parents out of their house years ago so that my folks could take care of them we found food everywhere. There were closets full, under every bed was packed with canned and packaged food. It was amazing. They had lived through the depression and I think they were afraid of ever being hungry again.
