Can you imagine how much of a d-bag you have to be to demand millions while they have to cut hospital workers to pay for you.
It’s very possible that he doesn’t know where the money is coming from. This is entirely on the administration. Although, it’d be a good jester if he donated some of his compensation to a hospital endowment.
Don’t forget, Manny Diaz was still the Miami coach and living in limbo when they were openly courting Cristobal to come coach there.
Cristobal didn't demand anything. The University President made the decision to invest more in athletics after some very pointed comments by Kirk Herbstreit about Miami's crappy funding of their athletic department. And Herbstreit is right, The U has lowballing their AD for decades.
Yes the money made a difference but Cristobal is from Miami, payed at Miami and mother who is sick lives in Miami, plus he has wanted that job for years so it finally all came together for him.
I know what Kirk is like, so yeah, I do t have to imagine, I just think of the captain.

That is signing day so he kind of has to decide then.
