Gotta let it go my guy. The posts say what they say.
The irony of you of all people telling someone to let something go, sure is something.

I don’t know, I think most, if not all of the Campbell era ISUs WR groups were stronger than this year.Oh no, it’s not a stretch to think that.
The stretch is for someone to think that they’re actually right.
And you judge against yourself and your own history, not others.
Wow, we’re way below tOSU’s average wideout corps. Who could have seen that one coming?
This wideout is above anything at ISU prior to the last two years.
Rocco is still QB1. However, one armed or one legged Rocco is not QB1. We lost 4 in a row because of that.
The losing streak was a whole team effort. Except for the RB's maybe. The Colorado game was probably Sama's best normal career game. The defense and special teams have something to say in this along with injuries.
A lineman was kicking off at one point.
Thank you. This is the dumbest thread I’ve ever seen on CF. Shut this **** down. Bonehead thread
Medical staff could have also been mistaken. Which, again, is evidenced by the change in play.
That is one way not to answer the question. Which is it?You watched the same games I did (I assume). Did Rocco look the same after he took that hit against Cincinnati?
Flak jacket? Or that a thing from the past? That's usual for QB's. protects their ribs.
Makes me wonder if has been playing with a rib injury then. That would affect throwing, for sure. That's for a person who's had a separated shoulder.
This is what I am talking about

If some of you think this is a “below average” WR group, you have a very short memory.
Below average in terms of Higgins and Noel, sure. The previous fifty years or so of Cyclone wideouts? Nah.
And Rocco’s injury(s?) and communication issues with new faces didn’t help any.
Still wasn’t on the same page with at least one pass today.
You just listed individuals, who usually had a decent secondary receiver. That’s not a “group”, that’s two or three, tops.I don’t know, I think most, if not all of the Campbell era ISUs WR groups were stronger than this year.
He started with Lazard > Butler > Hutch > Noel and Higgins. Not to mention secondary receivers like D Jones, Pettway, Akers, Milton, Murdock and Eaton were pretty good.
If the #1 receiver on one unit is light years better than the #1 on another unit, theres a good chance it’s a better WR unit. I don’t think it matters much if the #4-6 guys are better because they don’t really matter, especially on a team that doesn’t run much 3, let alone 4 WR sets. You just listed individuals, who usually had a decent secondary receiver. That’s not a “group”, that’s two or three, tops.
Talent-wise, this whole room is ahead of any of those years. They have some communication issues with Rocco at the moment, and some drops (Hakeem says hi), need some growth, but that doesn’t put them below that average. Far from it.
Coffee maker broke. I can’t count how many saw significant action this year. Eskildsen, Green, Brown, Townsend, Sowell, Overby…and they really, really like the trio of true freshmen.
And Rocco’s health issues most certainly haven’t helped.
This triggered my Deckers over Purdy his senior year PTSD…I'll take the bait and post the "shut this thread down!" response. It'll be an open competition for QB1 with Becht starting fall camp in the pole position. That doesn't mean he'll win it, especially if Manske is a good as some fans think (hope) he is. Think of it this way, if Becht is a really talented college QB but Manske is a future pro -- not saying he is but arguing "if" -- then it could be the latter.

Now that the season is over, do we think there's any chance anyone other than Rocco is QB1 next year? I am still a huge believer in Rocco, but this 2nd half of the season definitely raises questions.
Yes ISU was the top defense in scoring, and both passing and rushing yardage. Not bad for a DC that some of our fans want to see retire. The one major thing I recall about the 4-8 season in 2022: ISU's defense finished the season leading Big 12 defensive stats in all four team categories. Do I remember correctly?
What a weird season, if I recall correctly. Deckers isn't a Cyclone I remember fondly.
