Gotta be disheartening to buy 4 top 3 ranked wrestlers the last two years and still be picked to lose to PSU by over 20 points.
They have to pay so much to get them. There's an unbelievable amount of evidence that would be used against them that if you transfer to Iowa, you will get worse.

PSU doesn't pay as much for their roster as you'd think.
It's a hard pill for hawk fans to swallow. I think it has a lot to do with them lying to themselves for so long that all these transfers were coming to Iowa because IT WAS IOWA and had nothing to do with getting bags. So now that reality set in their complex only allows them to believe that PSU is only beating them because they pay more for their roster that's the only way they could be losing to them.

He always seems to want to throw cover for the Hawkeyes.
So much cover I’m banned from their forum for calling out Bob directly to him.

I’m just not so anti-Hawk that I need to call them out all the time, when they’re playing the same game as everyone else. They’re just playing it better than everyone but PSU.

If I was a guy and wanted to maximize my potential, why wouldn’t I want to train there with the caliber of room guys on the college team and everyone else at the training center.

The one thing that impresses me is how they keep the depth around. I bet their backups would be very close to winning a national title.

They’re playing it so well that they got 5th at NCAAs last year!

Well according to Starocci he’s the highest paid athlete in wrestling. I have no reason to doubt that.
I don’t have any reason to doubt that either, but he was a 5 or 6 year investment where most transfers are a one or two year investment . I have no idea what either payroll is but how many transfers vs recruits is PSU paying as compared to Iowa has to be part of the equation in my opinion .

Nope. That is one year for Starocci to come back for his 6th year.
Just because he may be the highest paid athlete on the team doesn’t mean overall compared to Iowa they have a more expensive lineup.
It might, it might not. We know one guy on PSU is paid more than any one guy on Iowa. So, why don’t we think other guys on PSU are also well compensated?

It’s just PSU donors know how to keep their mouths shut. Bob and Fellers like to make it loud and known how much they’re offering.

What and who are the highest paid at Iowa?
