Well I'm glad he did that. Feels like some closure finally. Wish it hadn't taken almost a week but a letter in the newspaper does feel more formal and a notes app thank you on Twitter.
Good for Matt. I believe him when he says it was a difficult decision and I hope he is happier there. But he doesn't matter here anymore and nobody needs to make space for a statue.
He's a good guy. I hope as time goes on those that are angry about the situation ease up a little bit.

He's a great person. A great coach that we were lucky to have for 10 years. He made the same decision many people would make in that situation. I don't blame him at all for making it. I get we're in the modern era of CFB and "this is just how it is."
He also told us for 10 years he was different. Turns out he wasn't. I'm not angry at him, but it significantly effects my view of him and his legacy. He did great things here and was probably going to do more. But now he's a great guy who came here for 10 years, accomplished some great things, and left.
Of course they guys will say that, I don’t blame them. Find the best players to come out of a program having NFL success and they will always speak highly of them.
We don’t get closure until about the middle of January. What players will he pull from us? When we know who and how many, then we have full closure.

We might be staring down the barrel of another Chizik-eqsue type year one for Campbell. I'm not saying he's going to win the natty in his first year like the Chiz did, but look at their 2026 schedule, its a joke. They'll be in the playoffs and probably go 11-1 at worse, unless theres a colossal collapse.
Look I hope we can take this moment to thank MC and then turn back to Cyclone stuff, but it seems like there's an element in the fan base that thinks no one else can succeed here and I just don't think that's true.

We’ll find out quickly if Campbell’s game management issues rear their head again, or if PSU talent is enough to overcome.
