I guess if Prohm leaves we might not have to deal with Cat Stevens cause he’s a much bigger Prohm fan than Iowa State. There’s probably a Bama forum he can go pollute.

Isn’t he from VA? His wife is from murray? The way he talks it always sounds like Murray is “home” to him. Like if he got a 100 million dollar windfall and wasn’t allowed to coach basketball again I feel like that is where he would go.

I think this is correct. Prohm is from Virginia and his wife is from Murray. With that said, most southerners ultimately cannot adjust to Iowa. I would guess a lot will depend on how happy Mrs. Prohm is in Ames.

That, and as always is the case.... money

This place will explode if ISU loses in the first round, Prohm goes to Alabama, and if Fred strings us along and signs with Nebraska. I don't know if I'd be intrigued, unless you like seeing car crashes.

And then TJ turns us down.
Just shut her down, bud.

I think he was born in Virginia, grew up in Georgia, and was a student assistant/manager while in undergrad at Alabama. He didn't stay at Alabama after graduation... he bounced around as an assistant at low and mid major schools in Louisiana (Centenary, Southeast Louisiana, Tulane) before landing at Murray.

So dumb. Just topping yourself.

You stated multiple times that you thought prohm was dragging the program back to the dark days of cyclone basketball.

That is pollution

Gotta think the pressure would be on JP to go get Fred, or failing that, to go get TJ immediately.

JP will give CSP a $300K raise and some more accelerators for Big 12 wins and everything will be fine. As long as Iowa State has Campbell JP has much more flexibility than he did when CFH was around.

Prohm is due a raise... and I think JP will get it done. Even if ISU craps the bed in the 1st round, give Steve the raise.

On a side note: Time for Barta to Extend Mad Fran again....

Not sure I've seen anyone mention this so I will...

Avery Johnson's buyout is steep. $8 million. Not saying Alabama absolutely won't pull the trigger due to that, but it's certainly a factor that might make them hold on a little longer.

Won't be an issue if he leaves on his own accord to say, the Pelicans, which rumors have it he's trying to do through backchannels.

Pollard, Campbell, Fennely, Dresser and Prohm (among others) seem to be a pretty tight knit group. On twitter they are always giving each other props and sharing the love. I think they've built a great family environment here, and that would be tough for Prohm (or CAMPBELL) to leave any time soon.

What really sucks in all of this is that this big ******* distraction is thrown out right before the team is ready to begin the most crucial part of their season.....and after a whole bunch of drama, and unwanted pubby.

Let's just let CSP coach these guys for a couple more weeks or so, eh?

Agree. ISU fans need to keep the eyes on the prize. The current ISU team has the talent to make a huge run! I hope a TON of people get down to Tulsa. Get behind this team so we can advance to KC. (Talk about MAJOR support for that regional.)

Fred's ******* gone. This is STEVE's show now.

GO CYCLONES!
