Sad but probable. TJ will get some good will and probably improve modestly on the current 2 win situation (the bar couldn’t be lower). Most important will be he will come reasonably cheap and in no way will overshadow CMC and the football program. So it goes...

most important is that he’s one of the best recruiters of the midwest and Canada in the game. Maybe everyone will shut up after Georges and Mel and Naz back him.

Please not TJ. 12-15 this season. 17-15 last season. Went to the NIT his last season at South Dakota State with maybe the most talented team in South Dakota State history. 0-2 in NCAA tourney. 0-1 in NIT. Dunno how any of that qualifies him to coach in the best conference in college basketball.

I genuinely would be curious to hear a "how it went down" type of podcast.....not all the details, but they met tonight....was it the two of them? Did "agree to part ways" involve any financial discussion? Or was that already done...or is that ironed out in the coming days/weeks?

Releases make it seem like a couple of guys having a chat, but so much money and details just curious how it truly goes down.

Honestly I suspect they both knew it was going down and just needed to sit down. I suspect the lawyers will work it out.

For all the angst on here for the past week, anyone that listened to prohm knew he knew.

Hey, I though Fred (the first time) was a terrible reach so obviously I don’t know much. I love Georges, but right now I would like for someone that doesn’t have a personal relationship with TJ to tell me why he’s the best choice and why I am terribly wrong... again.

I was very disappointed with the direction the program has gone, but I will also remember Steve being our coach through 2 of my favorite Iowa State games I ever attended; at Kansas and West Virginia in KC both in 2017.

The last two years were very bad.

But the first four were fun. Steve’s the only coach to beat a number 1 team at iowa state in decades.

Oh, agreed.....and then just the minute details....like vacating office, turning in car, etc.

But yeah, I'm sure Prohm talked to his agent the last week to discuss buyout options/strategies, JP.the same with ISUs reps.

Look back to 11/13/17

Nah. Milwaukee was a bad sign that showed some cracks, for sure. But he won a tournament title and earned a contract extension after that.

FAMU put him firmly on the road to extinction. He needed to show improvement, and he showed the opposite of that.

Doesn't matter now. He's gone. I just hope there's not a lot of dancing on the grave, because he's a good guy who conducted himself honorably.
