This reminded me that I need to get a satellite for our Orbi. Looked for Prime Day deals and it appears I can get a satellite only for $250 or a new router and satellite combo for $150. Just stupid how they price the add on accessories so high that you end up buying a new starter kit instead.

I've got an older Orbi as well, but when I looked at some of the newer systems around the $150-200 level, they were inferior to what I've already got. Most are dual band rather than tri-band.

I used to be a watch person now I’m a range finder person. No connecting, no charging, no ********.

I still prefer the watch cause it's always on me & is quick/easy to just look down to get a distance. Don't know how many times my playing partner asks me for a distance after we've walked away from the cart for some reason (or he just doesn't want to take more time to grab his range finder & shoot the pin). It's never off more than 10 yards, and is often within 5 - more than good enough for me.

So your kid is growing fast?

Basically for his age, only 1% of kids are bigger in that measurement. It can be an indicator for growth but applies outside of that too, to give context for their relative size. Like you as an adult man are probably in like....idk going off memory here, 60th percentile? It's easier to say oh your 6ft tall and we all know that's on the taller side for men. Usually use percentiles for kids because who keeps track of avg height or weight of 3, 5, 9 yr old kids or whatever.

Yeah. The tri-band is what was on sale for $150 at most places. I do a wired backhaul, so the third band doesn't mean as much to me, but it has been great for the past two years. Just need to reach a bit further now.

He's a high schooler now, but yes. Normal birth weight, a bit above average birth length, then by 3 months old took off like a rocket and has remained at or near 99 percent ever since.

Time will tell but I suspect he'll end up like me and just do all his growing early then level off. I don't think I grew any taller after maybe 8th or 9th grade.

I think what I wanted more out of the GPS watch, apart from easy distances, is also tracking real distances of all of my clubs. Some of the data collected of club usage and playstyle by watches seems like it would be incredibly handy for people trying to improve.

Height/weight percentiles relative to age.

Signed,
Parent of a 99th percentile kid

I’ve got 2 (1 and 3 now) that are 99+ percentile in height, weight and head and both were at least 6 weeks early. My oldest was bigger but not like these two. There have been periods where they have not even been on the chart.

I think we’ve got 6 car seats/boosters laying around, all Graco I believe. They have been great.

The lifesaver has been the stroller/wagon instead of the double stroller. It doesn’t fold up small but it has been super handy. It’s a baby trend.
