I really don’t think we have much trouble here. Good matchup for us. Clones 24, Nd 17

People forget, when we play ou or Texas, it’s a coin flip, been that way for 3 years. There is no physical mismatch here, it just doesn’t exist,

I'm going to guess we actually come out hot and take an early 17-7 lead. It'll be cut to 17-14 before halftime. We won't make enough big plays in the 2nd half and our adjustments won't be good enough in the end. We lose 24-31.

Could come down to how many of those backward passes (KSt game) our OC decides to call

I see this similar to the OU game. Fall behind by 2 or more scores early and then bring it back.

I am going with 38-35 ISU on a game winning field goal in the last minute.

Purdy throws for 250 yards, 3 TDs and 2 Ints.
4 receivers have 5+ receptions.
Defense holds ND to 7 pts in 2nd half.
Ends up being our best special teams game of the year.

ND- 27
ISU- 17

ISU's offense will struggle to run the ball (especially if JGJ doesn't play), and I fear we're in for another game of stupid false start penalties, etc... and of course bad special teams as always. Hope I'm dead wrong.

On the other side of the ball, that KSU scared the crap out of me. They ran it all night long right down our throats and made us their b**ch. If KSU does that to us, I fear what a ND team might do.

Now that Iowa has won big... I'm changing my prediction....

ND- 34
ISU- 14

It's just the way it goes I'm afraid.

I'm still having nightmares from the KSU game about how awful we looked in all 3 phases of the game.

One more sadsack Clonedude post might lead me to punch a puppy in the face.

Don't do that to a poor little puppy. You're better than that.

People have been complaining all year long about how we lose our games in the margins and details.... but now some of us have seemed to forgotten this since it's been a month since we last played.

If you love dogs, let's not find out.

My heart says we can win. My brain sees a 10 win team versus a 7 win team. Going with the brain: ND 34 ISU 17.
We’re just not there yet as a program. We can’t dictate tempo with a reliable running game and spend too much time behind the chains. We will have a good offensive line and running game someday. When that happens I hope we still have a good QB and defense like we do now.

ND 38- ISU 14. Another slow start gets us down quickly. Kelly will watch how KU and KSU destroyed us running the ball and do the same. Cyclones aren’t ready for big time stag yet- maybe next year after some bumps with high expectations this season.
I’d love to see some misdirection on offense- even if it’s simple bootlegs. Get re’al involved in the offense.
I hope for a win, but this season has been hard to watch an I just don’t see it based on the season. Slow starts, stupid penalties, strange play calls, dropped ints, long 3rd down conversions given up seems to be the norm and it can’t be if you want to win.
