The team that looked like they are used to winning, won. Not going to knock the Hawkeyes tonight because they looked pretty good, and executed their offense well. ISU looked more experienced.
At the end of the season, I bet this will be Iowa's best game of the year . . . . and they still lost by 9.

Needed Nate at the 4 to defend their four out offense. This lineup killed it.

So many mix and match lineups TJ can play so many different styles.
Heise is such a weapon. Can do a little bit of everything on offense, but on defense he’s just so versatile. He stays in front of guys better than lipsey, Gilbert or Jones. Can guard 1-4. I figured he’d get a lot of time on sandfort tonight. If he can stay in front of Kam Jones, he can sure the hell stay in front of Josh Dix.

I was surprisingly calm all game. Not because I knew we would win, but because I know we have a really, really good team.

I told a customer from Michigan that sometimes you know your team is not as good as their ranking, but I honestly think we are a top 5 team this year.

I didn't realize how little support Iowa bball gets nowadays. Listening to their fans they are just crapping on their arena (many calling it worst or one of the worst in Big 10), their coach, lack of any NIL bball support, etc.

One friend said he's gonna just be an ISU bball only fan the rest of the CBB season, lol.

Big props to all the ISU bball & NIL supporters, folks who pack Hilton, etc. That stuff definitely has an effect on the program. TJ could absolutely have a monster of a program in Ames for a loooonnnggg time thanks to the help of Cyclone Fanatics.

Having a great first half:

Would be a shame if someone ruined that:

I thought Keshon had his worst game of the season. He put up stats, but he just forced too much all night. Led to a lot of bad shots or turnovers. Personally, I like him much more in an off guard role with Lipsey running the offense.
I don't think he forced any more shots than any other game. He's great and it's what he does. Tonight a few more than normal didn't go in. That's what makes this team different, there are so many other options.

This was a really good win!

They did a good job of making wide open shots against our double team in the 1st half. What a job by TJ to adjust the defense in the 2nd half. We got some absolute dudes on this team.

he didn't make that many adjustments outside of not playing a certain combination of players together, (someone posted it earlier either in this thread or another), and just grinding them into exhaustion. the rest took care of itself.

They're missing out on a lot of fun. Yes, football is more popular than basketball. But come February and March, men's college basketball is as exciting as any season of college football. They used to take pride in it, but it's not as fun to watch them struggle when they truly don't care. I got one text from an Iowa friend throughout the game. They are a bunch of fairweather casuals.

Key to the game was weathering the first punch and keeping it within reach. You knew those dorks were going to come out shooting like crazy. Jefferson was incredible and Curtis is a big shot machine. Tamin had an amazing second half and it was good to see him hit a couple 3s
