Possible huge snow storm next week?

If we would open all of the doors in Hilton at half time Tuesday night, would there be enough heat to turn all of this snow to rain? Might help getting out of the parking lots.

Whats everyone in KC (or other weather gurus) opinions on Gary Lezak in KC? He has been saying for days (and still saying today) that he is pretty confident this will have a direct hit on KC based off past trends in the weather pattern. While everyone and everything is forecasting a track right through Iowa, he is saying right through KC. Is this guy just sensationalizing, or is he on average for a meteorologist??
The setup line is trending southwards as time goes on. Let us hope that mother of god hits KC.

Every time I see this updated, it keeps moving the heaviest totals north, out of central Iowa. Please be the case!

Don't worry it will keep moving around until the storm is over.

The 70 MPH winds are the part that could make this bad.

Talked to a DOT employee today that said they are expecting 8-10 in central Iowa.

Yeah, it'll be just enough to be real annoying, but not enough to stop me from goin to work. Give me 18 inches or give me nothing. I know...TWSS.

I think the part that worries me is if we get any wind past 25mph with 1-2 inches of snow is bad.
Not sure why they are coming up with 70mph as I can't remember when the last time we have had a 70mph blizzard. Maybe someone else knows. I actually like it except for the fact we have a huge game that night.

Crap. I just do not want to deal with this. Hoping the storm track will shift enough either north or south to not drop more than 6 on us. I can handle that. If I'm not 8 years old (which I'm not anymore), I don't want to see over a foot of drifting snow.

On a side note, Powerball (and MegaMillions for that matter) is STILL letting me down. I'd move in a second to a no-snow, no-humidity location if I could afford it.
