I think the issue was that there were countries that were getting tracking devices in a phone and actually tracking the individuals and not just asking who they were in contact with or where they went. I think most people would tell where they were over the last couple days and who might have been in contact with them.

Turn around most labs will be hours.. better than 24-48 hrs now for most..

it’s cheap which is big and every lab can become accredited to do it.

this will be much better for sports teams etc..

quick, cheap, at home tests that give pretty much instant results will be about 3-4 months away.

Do you have a link to this? I haven't seen much lately on if they were getting closer the last I had heard was at home wasn't going to be ready until about the same time a vaccine (potential) would be out.

Why is that an issue? If we're trying to track people for contact tracing, it's a while lot easier to automate that using location data than to just call people up and ask who they've been around.

I just left target, to do what you suggest, theywould need track every single person. Because I knew very few people who were at the store at the same time. So you have no issues with having a tracker device on you and having to keep it with you? There are times I leave my phone home because I don’t want to talk to anyone so I do t take it.

Only in Singapore, China, and South Korea so far. Furthermore many state prohibit tracing cell phones without a warrant.

Actually very few states require warrants for cell phones according to the map.

Any person at Target that you had prolonged exposure to. They're not tracing person you had quick contact with. So I doubt that would pertain to anyone in the store.

And no one is forcing you to keep a tracker. You choose to take your cell phone with you. Would it make a difference if Apple, Google, or your cell phone provider set the contact tracing up rather than the government? Cause they already have the data that they could easily do that.

This may be interesting if it becomes as available as antibody tests.

When I had positive antibody results I let my work know and anyone who I had close contact with when I likely had it and to my knowledge all were negative for antibodies.

I had read a study about Tcells and it mentioned that the antibody tests need a higher number of present antibodies to trip a positive test. That is why it is only effective going back 3 months. That you may have immunity, but the popular test can not confirm due to the higher number of antibodies required to prove the test.

Yep which would explain why I was negative just a month or so after being positive for a while. It's not like they are just up and are gone...I'd be curious to see if I have the T-Cells.
