Pollard on kxno right now

I didn't hear the interview, but I do know that Campbell went nuclear on the team and staff a month ago saying he wasn't leaving and if anyone thought he was then he didn't want them around.

That really doesn’t make any sense. Why would it be their fault?

Seems like a strange thing to get angry at your team about.

Pollard often sounds angry when he is just annoyed. He isn't great at managing his tone under stress. His content is great, but he can sound whiny, exasperated, or even angry. His "body of work" makes me want to give him plenty of room to "be him" because he is so committed to ISU and the success of our athletic program.

Was talking about Campbell. Still think it's strange but glad he's not leaving (duh).

I’m guessing if that statement is true, players/coaches might have kept bugging him and asking if any rumors are true. It probably annoyed him to the point of just sitting everybody down and setting the record straight.
That would make sense.

Why would he want them focusing on like that? That will be straight cancer in that locker room. And I really doubt he would lie about that to his team. I mean it’s possible, but that wouldn’t line up with what he’s shown his character to be at all.

Not having an agent is something I think many of us forget is probably for our benefit.
Technically, don't schools/NFL have to contact Jamie directly to ask for "permission" to talk to CMC? So realistically Jamie has a heads up on some of this.

I don't know what will happen, all I know is if he turns down Michigan I'll happy contribute to building him a statue. It's too soon, but we can get a start on it and unveil it on his 10th anniversary here.

That sounds like, donate folks, to me.

I'm lucky to be family friends with one decently large cyclone club supporter. You are hitting the nail on the head. This is more of a call to arms to get your checkbooks ready.

Wealthy families are seeing extremely pleasing returns in their investment accounts this year thanks to endless Federal Reserve pumping. I'm being told they are already taking calls from Iowa State about making larger commitments to keep CMC and crew happy

Nobody actually does that until the MOA is done and then they go back and act like they have not spoken to the coach that they are poaching. It is a formality that is rarely followed

GREAT interview right now with how the selection procedure is done.

For those that didn't catch it, Jamie said today ISU is his last stop and will end up retiring here.
That's good on two fronts then, 'cause we know how Campbell values their working relationship.

I mean, we need to realize how lucky we are right now (and have been) to have the leadership, administrative and coaching that we currently have. A lot of schools aren't in our enviable position.
