NBA: Playoff Time

The only reason we are here is because you always bring him up, and call people out about it. You didn't last night. Cause and effect kinda stuff.
Who is dancing around being a Heat fan? I'll admit to being a Miami fan, I have no problem doing that. I'm an NBA bandwagon jumper, Suns, Cavs, Heat, not a die hard fan of any team I just like watching good basketball.
I talk about LeBron when LeBron is the most intriguing thing going in the playoffs. I'm an NBA fan. Outside of ISU I like NBA basketball more than every college game all season.
The Indiana series was intriguing. The one game he truly disappeared at the end and choked...that was the story for EVERYONE in the media, not just me. The next few games he played ridiculous...that was the story too. The flopping he did against NYN was a legit story, and kind of crazy because he didn't need to do it. Vogel calling him out as a flopper actually changed the way he played which is interesting in itself.
I don't like the guy because of his premature coronation of himself, just like you claim to not like him. When he's the most interesting part of the playoffs I'm going to talk about him and not in a "Gee I wish this nice humble guy could win a title" way. Boston/Miami looks like UGH so obviously I could give a flying crap about anybody in that series right now unless there is some crazy officiating or flopping I can make fun of him for like when he was a 4 year old girl flopping against New York.
My favorite team is who I picked to win. I like to be right. I'm arrogant like that. I've got Spurs v Heat in finals and think both will win in 5 in the conference finals. Strangely, I'm less confident about the Heat pick (the number of games it will take to beat the Celtics, not the overall outcome)
By the way, the hack a Splitter was annoying as hell last night. Who want's to watch that? It did seem to screw with the rythem of the Spurs offense for a while so I guess it kinda worked but it's not a brand of basketball I'd want to watch again.
Nobodies dancing around anything. That's a figment or your own little imagination. I never said "I'm not a heat fan." I never said I am a Heat fan either. I am a hater of haters. People don't like LeBron because they can recognize that he could actually back up his talk and Bulls fans especially don't like him because he is the biggest threat to Drose and the Bulls. People didn't do this about Michael Jordan because EVERYONE loved Jordan when he played. I have not yet yet figured out why but that's how it was. Besides, there wasn't much interesting to post last night on the game. The Spurs handled a team with three legit scorers that can't pass the basketball.
It was annoying to watch but it stopped the bleeding, saved them clock, and got them within striking distance. They had it down to 6 before Fisher's "defense" of not getting his charge calls did them in.
They tweak the rules often enough, I think it's at least worth looking at tweaking them in that way somehow because like trying to sell flops...it's not true basketball. Although rule tweaks would have to be in a fair way that doesn't simply protect bad free throw shooting.
Game 3 is as pivotal as it gets. I think we're looking at 2-2 and a war or 3-1 and a 5 game series. I do think OKC at least snaps the winning streak.
I'm pretty much the same way. I'm not going to attach myself to a team and then be forced to watch terrible basketball if players get hurt or the team's rebuilding. I get enough losing with the Cubs.
You're projecting on people in a completely irrational way.
Not everybody has to like LeBron or be a "hater". There are about a dozen players every year I'd rather not win a title because there are other players I simply like more or enjoy watching more. It's not all about the Bulls or I'd be "hating" on every team. If I wanted to cheer against teams that could match the Bulls mystique I'd be cheering against the Spurs.
You expose yourself even more that you think OKC closing a 26 point SA lead down to 6 wasn't interesting but Miami/NYN and Miami/Boston are.
I'm the same way for NFL, watch it but zero team allegiance. Living in Chicago so long Bears fans annoy me anyway, they are Super Bowl or bust EVERY season no matter how irrational it is and the sports media being 90% Bears all year turns me off.
For whatever reason I was right there when we drafted Eddie Curry and paid Eddie Robinson 32 Million for a couple seasons, those teams were nearly as bad as Charlotte is now...Clones and Bulls are my teams no matter how bad they may get.
It's probably good strategy, just as a fan it's not pleasing to watch. 4 corners in the non shot clock era was terrific strategy but nobody wanted to watch it.
Game 3 is pivotal for OKC, not really for the Spurs. The Spurs need to get one but it doesn't have to be Game 3. I think OKC can expect a monster game from Durant at some point but the question for OKC is can they stop the Spurs from getting easy shots?

No I'm not. In general, people love or hate LeBron. He's polarizing. Also, the Spurs aren't as comparable to the heat as the Heat. You look at this history. They wanted Dwade and thought there was a good chance, then he teams up with LeBron and Bosh. Now, in the East they are the only real threat to the Bulls in the next 5 or so years as it stands right now.

I'm the same. I like the Magic and the Sixers, both by way of bandwagonning (Hardaway and Iverson). Now I cheer for the Heat I suppose just to go against the grain a little. Back in the day, I cheered for the Kings when they were challenging the Lakers. I rooted for the Nuggets a couple years ago and even the Rockets. Evidently I'm not a Laker fan.
Tonight will say alot for Boston. If Miami controls the game again, I think Boston MIGHT win 1 game in the series. Big game for Boston. Take one in Miami and then go home and try to control the series.
That was a game changer. Tied 105-105, Rondo goes for the layup, gets hit in the face/head by Wade, no call. Now Miami was playing 5 on 4 and got two points to go up 107-105. 4 point swing right there.
