The article mentions a $1m prize for the winner of the 16, but not the 8. Will they ever announce the payouts outside that champion?
It had to happen with more teams and an actual bracket but I'm not a huge fan of having this thing run from Tuesday to Saturday (assuming we win) with an off day on Wednesday.

26-27 Barttorvik projections has San Diego State at 53rd which is the worst team outside of Kansas State (78th) and Baylor (57th) but they wouldn't match us up with first round. Overall a disappointing first round matchup but seeing how its spread around with 5 big 12 teams it makes sense.

Louisville: 5th
St John: 19th
Texas Tech: 25th
Oregon: 35th

The data at this point is highly suspect. I'll wait until I see the team play on the court before I start the handwringing. Seems like TJs teams usually outperform pre-season expectations.
The biggest thing I see on Torvik is that they're expecting basically zero impact from Pleta. They have DRK getting minutes, with Pleta completely out of the rotation
