I think we play tomorrow. I think Alabama if they win by >=16 against UNLV. Otherwise Notre Dame. Alabama would be a much better test, but would be nice to get out of there 3-0. Also have to think TJ would be tempted to play Tamin against Bama whereas we take our chances without him against ND. But who knows...
The fact that KU will leave Vegas with more NIL winnings than ISU regardless of tomorrow’s outcomes is absolutely infuriating

In all seriousness most gamblers I know are in either one of two situations:
A) set and comfortable in income/retirement/investment and their gambling in no way affects those and it's just a form of entertainment for them.
B) completely devoid of any long-term financial plan whatsoever and have either given up on either their financial security long-term or given up on the US economy throughout it's middle & lower class decline/late stage capitalism...or both.
I know of no one who is trying to get rich gambling to retire or plan to beat Vegas/experts/gambling machine to make money long-term. They're either fairly rich already, or poor to the point they have nothing to lose.
So correct me if I'm wrong, but tiebreaker 1 was point differential. KU finished +21, ISU +19. Tiebreaker 2 was points scored for. KU 142, ISU 161. So if they took and made that last shot against Creighton our boys would be in the 3rd place game instead of Kansas.
My prob is that our hotel TV doesn't have the games, so I'm not getting any of the info from the announcer patter. I'm greatful to all y'all posting updates. Guess I'm staying up late to buy our tickets.

The max they take into account is 20+ point diff, but yes either Milan takes/makes that shot they would be in or if St. Johns doesn't make the last second tip were in.
TBH I think it's also BS that KU played after us and knew what they needed to beat our score. Can't control that but just another reason it was stacked against us in this event. Still leaving 3-0 or even 2-1 is a great outcome.

They are one of only 2 teams who did not play a ranked opponent. Bill Self should kick back some of their winnings to the tournament scheduler.

Yeah I'm just upset because 4th place hates $200K more, and 3rd $300K more. Who knows what difference that NIL makes.
