can we just sit the starters and get back healthy for Purdue? If we weren’t building a relationship with the Players tournament I would be 100% ok with that.

They should factor in Kenpom rankings and put Gonzaga and Iowa State in a top 5 matchup for the championship, then Michigan and Tennessee in a top 10 matchup for third (since all four will be in the 2-0 group).

Yeah I had no idea. That would seem silly to do a rematch when there are plenty of other 1-1 teams to play
Games between teams from the same conference will be avoided. The tournament guarantees that.
The tournament will also attempt, but not guarantee, to avoid matchups between non-conference teams that play during the season. (Like Syracuse vs. Tennessee, which is part of the ACC/SEC Challenge next week).
It does not say anything about not playing a team twice in this tourney.
I think you are right, if Maryland they will have a short turn around. (Compared to ISU)
Auburn, Alabama, Maryland, or Oregon are most likely I’m guessing. I’m more interested in time. No idea on that.
Almost as dumb as playing Memphis in the Liberty bowl.
Theres an decent shot at Alabama as well, but my hunch is they will put teams that won there first game together.
Auburn does not look like a #21 ranked team right now.
