This has the potential to be a very tight dual, Pitt’s strength is their back half of the lineup.
Flo/Intermat
125 - Perryman vs #27/23 Babin - that makes two matches where Perryman is an underdog, yet both matches winnable.
133 - Frost vs #33/NR Santaniello - a solid test against a guy who isn’t having as solid of a year as he did in 2024. I do think we might see Osmany or Grice in one of the two weekend duals.
141 - Frost vs NR/NR Santaniello - a pretty cool dynamic here if it’s brother vs brother in back to back matches.
149 - Paniro vs #28/22 Solomon - another match we should win, but against another likely NCAA qualifier.
157 - Chittum vs #24/24 Evans - a solid test for Chittum ahead of a really big week against SDSU and UNI next weekend.
165 - Riggins vs NR/NR Keslar - a very winnable match for Riggins, (who I am sticking to it that he has been getting better) and just needs more confidence.
174 - MJ vs #17/19 Augustine - this match (like most MJ matches) should have some fireworks. Augustine is positionally sound but will go for big moves. Would be great for MJ to bounce back this weekend after a tough one against OSU
184 - Bockman vs #11/14 Heller - Heller is also a big move guy, which Bockman generally avoids. 74/84 are the matches of the dual in my mind. Great opportunity for Evan to earn a higher ranked W (at least by Flo).
197 - Schon vs #14/10 Stout - Pretty sizeable underdogs here in this one. Stout is a low AA/bloodround type and Schon hasn’t yet shown the ability to hang with those types. Would be a huge W if he could pull it off.
285 - Herrera vs #13/13 Pitzer - I strongly believe Herrera can win this match, but it has to be on his feet. If he goes under Pitzer, it going be a long 7 min for him.
After going match by match, this one could come down to bonus points in the end.
An upset or two at a weight could really sway this dual as I’ve got it 5 wins to 5.
