PGA Championship

4 shot lead for Lefty with 8 holes to play. Don't think even Phil could screw this up.
Rooting for Phil big time, but 4 strokes can be made up pretty easily over 8 holes. Couple bogies by Phil & couple birds by Koepka or Oosty.

The back & forth between Phil & Brooks over the first 5 holes today was crazy!!

As a guy that has $$$ on Koepka I hope this is the jinx post I needed. :p

But yeah I think Phil is going to get it done.

I hope this trend of fans storming the last hole as the final group plays doesn't continue. At some point there is going to be an issue. Especially when the tournament hasn't been decided yet. That one fan grabbed Mickelson's arm and it took Koepka about 5 minutes to fight through the crowd just to get to the green. It would be like allowing the crowd at a basketball game to storm the court and surround a player shooting game winning free throws, or kick a game winning field goal.

Let them finish, then have at it.

Love to see the passion. This is the first time I’ve felt like sports are “back” since CoVID.

Yah that was a bit over the top.... for golf. Reminded me of the guy that ran on the field when Hank Aaron broke the home run record. Good to see people in mass again, celebrating. As a 58 year old guy... you go Phil!!!

Phil hugged his manager off the 18th green, looked like a made guy.

And Phil wins it.

What a rowdy crowd.
Wow, got to watch history. Really cool.
Lefty hung on. Big day for golf! He had just enough left in the tank. Made a couple bogies but then some birdies. The chip in birdie from the sand was huge

Nothing wrong with Koepka, just seems kind of like a boring bruiser to me. Maybe it will be easier to root for him in the future. I think it would help if he would just show a little enthusiasm and excitement for the game of golf instead of being such a robot.

I have a special place in my heart for Phil, as he is almost exactly the same age as I am. Very cool to see him still getting it done. Plus, I've always liked his aggressive play.

Mickelson is more fit now than he was at 30. There were some wild swings at the top of the leaderboard yesterday and today. But Phil drove the ball really well (using his 2 wood) and stayed out of trouble more than Brooks and Louis. It was fun to watch and I wouldn't count him out over the rest of this year.

Phil's doing some "spiritual" stuff that he doesn't want to talk about because of weirdness.

Did you see the 367-yd bomb? I know it was wind-aided, but it was 6+ longer than his playing partner, who ain't too shabby at bombing the long stick.

Huh? I saw him doing some breathing-control "exercises"; kinda like how basketballers do it right before a free-throw. Anything else ?
