I usually watch games and feel bad for this guy because he seems to work his heart out but isn't big enough or fast enough and gets pushed around. Not today, this guy deserves a game ball. Absolutely wreaked havoc today, gotta give him his props!!!!

I thought we were going to take a big step back after Maggitt got hurt, but Neal is making me eat my words. I hope he can keep it up. I remember getting excited about Rashawn Parker's play early in the season but then he'd get eaten up in the Big 12.

Patrick is a hell of a player, been really good for us and has played about 5 positions. Wish we had a few more of him.

Neal was great today. So was Matty T, he's played really well 2 wks in a row. I was surprised to see him in on obvious passing downs late in the game, he's obviously showed something to the coaches.

THIS. Matty T has been an animal the last two weeks. Big props to him as well.

I thought the same thing, I love the improvement.

I think this D is legit. I feel confident with them on the field.

Great job Neal!

The ****** part is he didn't play that bad...he was there on every play but his size kept him from making the play. And those PI calls where suspect at best IMO. He played well in run support.

I agree, other than the whiff on the touchdown, I think he played really well. He had 10 tackles tonight, most of them in the run game. Both of the PI calls looked like good defense to me. At best they were ticky-tack calls (that certainly weren't going the other way).

Reeves is a really good player, just a tiny really good player.

jimmy reeves didn't play so hot tonight

I disagree. He is always right where he needs to be, he's just often (literally) inches from making the play. And don't discount all of the times the QB won't even throw his direction due to his coverage.

The kid plays hard and he plays well, he's going to make a lot of those plays next time.

As for the whiff on the INT, I keep thinking that he makes that play if he were 1 inch taller.

He went for the int when he should have just knocked the ball down. He goes up with one hand instead of two and he gets it.

Yes he did. He had a career high 8 tackles, 1.5 TFL and .5 sacks.

Reeves also had a career high 10 tackles.

Unfortunately, Mahoney and Farniok also had career highs in tackles with 2 each :twitcy:

Mahoney may have had the best tackles, he could be a safety in a pinch!:spinny:

The first call was probably legit, but the 2nd one looked more like a soccer player taking a dive when the WR threw his hands up after initiating the bump down the sideline. The ref bought the act.

Exactly, He's there for the play. Size might be a deterrent, but if he learns to work with it, especially based on this game, he could be one of the best we've seen.
