Pancakes = Buckwheat

If you are in Chicago and reading this thread, you might want to stop in Wilmette at the Walker Brothers Pancake House. They have some in other suburbs too. Fantasic. I recommend the Belgian Waffle (I remember it as the pork tenderloin sandwich of waffles).
I eat more pancakes, but just because they are easier. I have a 10" flat cast iron skillet that makes a perfect pancake. But then I really like a waffle, too. Equally.
Cast iron skillet makes the pancake, along with real butter and real maple syrup.
Now thinking about making pancakes for tailgating. When is the first game?
Waffles, the butter and syrup just sink into the dimples. Big fan of being generous with butter and warm syrup.
Fresh made, slight edge to pancake. Topped with peanut butter, syrup and banana. Waffles topped with whipped cream and strawberries.
Honarable mention to eggos or generic equivalent for a quick breakfast. A sandwich made by topping 2 waffles generously with peanut butter and sliced banana between has been a go to for me since middle school.
